Waay too complicated 5^x + 5^x = 150 5^x = 150 / 2 = 75 5^x = 25 * 3 Taking log to base 5 of both sides, x = log5(25*3) = log5(25) + log5(3) = 2 + log5(3) Can do this in my mind...

How do you get a log base 5 of anything without dividing by log(5)
