Thank you for your incredible job, Harry! The only question is: my English friends often tell me or text me 'looking forwardS to seeing you...' What's the difference between just 'looking foreward'.... is forwardS more colloqual? I just love your distinct and measured speech, and this is the truth, not only a compliment!

Teacher Harry, I wrote to you, but I was not clear. I would like to learn about blends and their spelling of words based on how to spell them. For instance, happen, why it has two p’s. Or, receipt, why is it ‘ei’ and not ‘ie’. It has to do with vowels and consonants. Hope I am clear.

Hi Harry, awesome, as usual ! But isnt "look out for my brother" a bit the same as "look after my brother" ? Maybe, there's a little nuance I can't notice. Thanks. Jérôme from France.
@LearnEnglishwithHarry Жыл бұрын
Hi Jérôme 🇫🇷 You’re correct, they can have similar meanings. But there is a subtle difference. "Look out for my brother" implies that you should keep an eye on him and watch for any potential danger or trouble that he might encounter. “Look after my brother" suggests more of a caretaking role. It implies that you should take care of his needs and ensure that he is safe and well-cared for.

Sir, when one likes to meet a friend is it correct to say: Please look me up when you happen to be this side.
@LearnEnglishwithHarry Жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be used to express a desire to meet up with a friend who happens to be in the same area as you. “In the area" or "around here” will be better.
