I thought she was joking but was horrified to see a driving school sign on her roof a week later and she instructing some poor learner when she still had difficulty reversing a car herself. Needless to say that venture did not last too long. Nowadays there are stricter regulations on who can become a driving instructor but back then there were none.

I passed a couple days ago with only 2 minors! Your videos really helped a lot and I always used to read the comments and see people like me who were thanking you for helping them so it feels funny to finally be one of those people! I do think passing the test comes down a lot to the examiner on the day especially if you get nervous easily like me because my examiner was so lovely and chatted to me a lot which made me feel more at ease and that made it genuinely not even feel like an exam anymore! But even if your examiner isn’t as nice, as long as you follow what these videos and your instructor has taught you and just focus on that, you’ll be fine. Also for the show me tell me questions if you get one where you have to talk about a warning light remember what colour the lights are as that threw me off a bit😬 but I managed to guess right haha. Very best of luck to everyone trying to pass!

I could have passed if this guy was my instructor tho...... After 5 fails I finally got my license! It’s pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You’re bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 years then I renew again. My little advice. * If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

To anyone here who is genuinely studying to get ready for their test, I just recently took mine and passed and here are some tips I can offer: 1. Stay calm. Try not to show that your nervous, remember its just driving with someone else in the car, no biggie. 2. Take your time. Don’t rush through things and don’t let your mind run 100 miles an hour. Slow yourself down and think things through. 3. Know the rules. Driver’s tests are supposed to be picky and difficult, so study up on exact rules and ask around to see what small things your friends or colleagues may have got deducted on. 4. When parallel parking, remember your 3 point turn. Go forward until you can see the spot in your mirror, back into it then get yourself straight (2 separate motions, don’t try to whip on in real fast) then turn back into the spot. Also practice this a lot, most DMV will have cones available to practice on, so don’t be shy to go up there and practice often, it’s free and can’t hurt. 5. Make conversation. It will make you and your instructor a lot more comfortable rather then being super tense, as long as you are not distracted. 6. Stay under the speed limit at all times. They will get you for going even a little bit over. 7. Know where everything is is in your car and what it does, they will test you on this so make sure you know where all of your main important controls are. 8. Practice, practice, practice. Don’t set yourself up for failure by not driving a lot then expecting to pass your test. Drive as much as you possibly can and get comfortable with it. Trust me, this is super important. Not driving will be absolutely devastating to you. That’s about all the advice I can give, so just stay calm, you got this, I believe in you, and reply if you have any questions :)

How is hesitation at a roundabout a serious fault? Seems harsh to me
@PaulaStreet5 жыл бұрын
It was explained that other drivers, who also have a clear view and see no traffic coming, would be obstructed by the hesitating driver, and could even hit into from behind...[edit after reading responses] - yes of course, if anyone behind runs into you while you hesitate that is THEIR fault. But I suppose, they penalised the hesitating person because, they are generally obstructing the free flow of traffic, when there's no good reason to.
@SwrveYT5 жыл бұрын
It isn’t if the road behind you is clear. It only can be if there’s a car behind
@lindsaytarr29075 жыл бұрын
Paula Street this is just funny to me. In America, if you hit someone in front of you, it is almost ALWAYS your fault because you are expected to be going a reasonable speed and observing the cars in front of you
@Yellow_Magpie5 жыл бұрын
It's a serious fault because it takes one numpty to panic and stall-out at a roundabout for the whole system to shut down. A roundabout is meant to be the most efficient and fastest way to direct traffic at a junction, ironically, it doesn't work if you hesitate. Where I did my test was basically all roundabouts, it was an absolute nightmare at first, but it was so much easier and safer once I got used to approaching in second and being a bit more aggressive.

Paula Street if they hit him from behind when he stops at a round about that’s their fault, not keeping enough distance and/or going too fast.

Here in Algeria to pass the driving test you only need about 1 hour of driving lessons before you are put with the examiner, then you only need to start the car, drive around for about 100 meters and that's it! The only thing that's considered a serious driving fault is hitting something pretty hard. Judging by this video, my parents do a lottt of faults ahah
@Mr.M1STER5 жыл бұрын
In driving tests and lesson scenarios, everything is exaggerated. Your parents are probably good drivers with just no need to do everything as though they were doing a driving test.

I think one of that fault is "not driving on left" /s

Most people do. A lot of people are actually pretty bad drivers honestly.

I ask myself if I would pass as a 47 year old and 30 years on the road. That would be a great day out. This was so excellent I stayed til the end. So much support and you didn't smash him down. It was the best experience that Owen could have had.

16:55 he literally rolled back 1 inch and you call that a driving fault...

I think the point is to make sure that they don't do it again. yeah it's an inch but folks can get too comfortable even with that

It doesn't say you can roll back less than an inch, any rolling back is a fault
@xlenaqz4 жыл бұрын
If it was a mountain, that could have been more than 1 inch and could have cause an accident xd That's why it's a fault
