Lovely Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Piyason Videographic Ventures (just google it)? It is a smashing one off guide for creating your own viral video without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend Sam got amazing results with it.

Totally great tips!!! As editors I think we often get caught up in, "just getting the job done as fast as possible" and we end up with bad habits as a result. This video helps get rid of those bad habits and still be fast at editing, maybe faster. The vertical monitor idea is pure genius! Keep it coming dude.

Rus's Studios i was about to asking the same thing after watching this video, this will give you more flexibility I believe.
@ilhanpalayret63414 жыл бұрын
When you finished editing, the original clip you edited is divides in a few short ones that you selected. This method is to color grade only this "rush" clip without touching others. If you put an adjustment layer on top of your timeline you will change the color of different ""rush" clips. Sorry for my english, I'm bad ahah
@vooshmoozik61854 жыл бұрын
i know this is a year old comment, and you've probably understood the difference by now, but if not.... adjustment layers have a different purpose, these layers were made to send effects to ALL clips BELOW THEM, and they are NOT clip dependent, while master effects IS clip dependent and refers to all instances of a specific clip so adjustment layers: timeline effects master: specific source clip effects

For the colourgrade master tip, isn't it also easier to use an adjustment layer for colour grades over multiple clips?
@LearnHowToEditStuff6 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily... If all your clips are next to each other, you could do an adjustment layer, but if you have multiple clips with different lighting etc. strung out you'd need to adjust the adjustment layer for each clip which can get really annoying really quickly
