Ohhh how I wish I could just spray mine with the hose like you do, that would be so much easier, but we have so much limestone in the ground here where I live and it leaves white splotches all over the leaves. My Black Knight looked the worst after I purchased from a local supplier who was overhead watering all his babies so I ended up wiping it clean with a milk solution. ( info was found in a Google search ) What a great bargain that cart was! Love it. 💚

Please make a video on the potting mix that you use and also how do you fertilize an arrangement and how often? After two years, do you need to repot or replace the soil?
@ChopstickandSucculents5 жыл бұрын
I seldom fertilize. If the plants are still okay, I do not remove the plants. I just clean up dead leaves.

Cheryl-Anne Salon do you add perlite or pumice? I'm always interested in people's soil recipes...
@mariagdaws60835 жыл бұрын
Erik Molenaar Hi Erik I have been growing succulents for years and used to sell succulent container gardens at Markers markets I found that regular potting mix, 3 parts, composite I made from Vegs 1 part and perlite I part and a handful of slow release fertiliser works for me Succulent soil from nurseries became too expensive Good luck. I live in Melbourne Australia Cheers Maria 🙋♀️❤️

That's funny about your Echeveria 'Blue Atoll,' as I have two currently. One is exposed almost all day, but it's slightly north-facing. it's definitely more reddish-golden than teal-blue...hard to explain. it's facing north but it's not sheltered. sun is pretty much 9am-3pm. Oh, and watering is just misting once or twice a week. Sometimes I use a hose once a month. microclimates. sigh. My other Blue Atoll is basically opposite the other, south facing. definitely shows good red edges and pink undertones. in my experience in Southern California, Blue atoll, Black prince, Echeveria harmsii, and E. agavoides do the best in sunnier spots.
