This learning circle was hosted by Land to Table in partnership with UBC Okanagan and featured discussion which highlighted the key points learned in the series so far and asked panelists to help further define and understand complex/system issues that continue to impact local food procurement (at institutions) for the purpose of creating new systems that can be sustainable in the long term.
Panelists included Kristina Bouris, Senior Manager of Value Chain Innovation for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food; Annelise Grube-Cavers, Fresh Valley Farms, Armstrong; Lindsay Harris, Food Policy Implementation Lead at Kamloops Food Policy Council; and Brittany Maguire, Program Manager at Meal Exchange. These four panelists were joined by guest speaker David Speight, Executive Chef and Culinary Director at UBC Food Services.
