Hey Folks, You all are going to have such an awesome time learning from the Master...Paul will open up your minds to the possible dreams of what woodworking is all about...I have a friend here in Maine who is a Travel RN and also a Learning Furniture Builder....Mike has about 4-6 months of home time while travelling around New England for assignments...while home he builds>>>beds, chairs, tables, picture frames, benches, bookshelves and kitchen cabinets. The best part of his work is that he uses minimal hardware and most joints are dovetailed...he learned all these trades while in nursing school in PA from an Amish Tradesman....Cheers from Maine.

I am so THANKFUL you have met Mr.Paul. I've watched him about a year. And I love it. My father Frank did the same kind of workmanship. PERFECT. And the wood feels Like glass smooth( no splinters). My father is from Germany in a ski 🎿 resort, mountain town. And he could make all kinds of furniture. Wood carving. It is amazing. My father died 2007 ,85 YEARS OLD. Like you Mel,. Our Dad's are very IMPORTANT to us. I love you wear your Dad's hat. I have my Dad's Winter coat. I feel his hugs when I wear it. Keeps me warm. My mom died 2016. 96 years old. I especially like the way the bearded carpenter mixes old time skill and knowledge with modern tools. Labor was always the killer of men and modern tool cut back on that labor.

I would think the chinking would be less of a problem to do.. but , I could be wrong..

Beautiful! Have you been watching Off grid with Doug and Stacy this summer? They are putting together a kit oak log home. Though experienced from building their own log home (not from a kit) it has been a super hard summer. Get lots of people to help, learn from this master and tighten your belts. You can do it. 👍❤️
