Thank you for calling attention to Selah. I never before noticed that in the Tanach it is translated into English only as Selah and often as Selah! while in the Prayer book it is transliterated as forever.

Rabbi, I learnt today that the Aden Jews, Adeni are orthodox. One thing I read was that you can't shake a womans hand. How Then can you acknowledge them with out shaking their hand. If you have any information that would be great thank you.

Oh and if so, does that only apply to Orthodox Jewish woman and not Gentile women 🤔

It applies to any woman and the reason is generally to avoid physical contact between opposite sexes. The same applies to an Orthodox woman, she would try to avoid shaking hands with any men. However when the other person already extended the hand and it may lead to embarrassment, some rabbis allow to answer the handshake.

@@chaimsunitsky6403 I think I have made that mistake With A Moslem Ladies, hand; A Family Friend. I could pat woman on the shoulder as friendly gesture.
