I've started my leather artisan Journey 2 years ago.. I saw someone selling bags on Twitter and I reached out to him and he told me his was mass produced.. So I thought what if I can make my bags my self.. and that was the start of it. And like the gentleman in the video I do everything by hand no machines. I'm a very Impatient person but with making my totes I know I have to have patience.. it makes me slow down and think and really observe what I'm doing.. it's almost like a zen moment for me.. Especially sewing by hand it hurts my hands some time but its soo relaxing ...I'm so glad I found leather working

I will utilize the knowledge to work on new designs, mostly for prototyping here in Dallas. And the new line of bags will be made in Ubrique Spain in a few months. So what I learned from Peter will be very helpful in developing this new line of bags. Very excited!

I wish we had the skills base for leathercraft manufacturing here, but the few prominent holdouts seem to be the boot makers in the Pacific Northwest. The Pegai bags already look so beautiful, it will be interesting to see how moving production from Turkey to Ubrique will affect consistency!

Indeed. That's how leather craft came to what it is today. And Peter learned it from an old Hermes artisan then many more is learning from Peter. That's how a craft moves forward. I can actually look into it and add it to the video description, haven't thought about that :)

It will be interesting to see if Mr. Peter’s next endeavors implement die-cutting the leathers but keeping most of the hand-stitching. This could potentially increase his quality (consistency) and throughput while staying true to the bespoke craft.

At this point you probably can make your wife the best bag at her liking… with the best quality and best leather. So I get that she’s not buying these overpriced and overrated bags … People should start visiting local artesian in Europe or other countries vs just the obvious luxury bag… During my 20’s I am glad I was able to visit the local artesian and purchased leather bags from their stores.
