Put more pressure on the stick in the direction of the gear you want to go into, i.e 1st->2nd pull back hard on the stick while full throttle and then all you have to do is stab the clutch pedal as fast as you can. Practice that and you’ll be fine. You can do it at lower rpm too, just like driving around town. Just get used to the amount of pressure you need to use. The lockout issue most likely is because of the clutch, the key tip off to that is the that if you short shift you won’t get locked out. Even though you said the clutch is new. At least in the s550 world Mcleod RST is a good more budget focused clutch that doesn’t clutch lockout. The shifter could be causing some of the issue but most likely isn’t the root of the issue. I have a stock shifter and stock clutch, I also get locked out of gears often so I think it's just the trans, I plan to get a T56 swap some day but there's a few mods I need to do before I get there

Its the clutch all day long. I have every mod you can throw at it (2010 GT) and it still locks me out.

I used to own a 06 gt that was supercharged, i had no wot box, no 2 step just plain ole rev limiter. And a stock shifter. No lift shifting in these 3vs is acutally quite easy, you have to literally wait right before red line and then no lift. This is how i learned, you have to set in YOUR head to not lift off that damn gas pedal, you can no lift 1st - 4th gear, start by doing 3rd to 4th gear, then go to 1st to second, then final is the 2nd - 3rd. I wouldnt suggest 4th - 5th. Just REMEMBER dont fkin lift that foot off that gas pedal. And yank that damn shifter. WAIT UNTIL almost redline. Trust me. :D

You may want to change your TPS threshold to 1.71 bro, it’ll cut ignition sooner due to lower TPS

Yeee the thrustt shifter isss asss 😩😩😩 cause sometimes it doesn’t feel like I put it in the right pocket in the transmission ( like some times it’ll go in perfect like butter but sometimes it feels like It didn’t ) I feel your pain tho 😪😪😪

Hey man i have a 2008 Ford Mustang GT/CS With 40K Miles on it Just hopeing another Mustang owner of the S197 family can help me figure out what possibly could be wrong Again my car is a 2008 GT/CS My problem is the car is slowly overheating strangely after my A.C stoped working the car seems to only overheat when at idle But the car WONT overheat while I am driving it any ideas? I would appreciate it Car doesn’t have white smoke out the tailpipes Car haven’t lost any power Car radiator doesn’t have any milky water or cap Car doesn’t have any water bubbles out the radiator But i can smell antifreeze when it starts to overheat

It’s 100% your fans this happened to me too it’s a very common problem. It’s either your wiring under your fuse box melted or the more common problem is that the resistor in your fan went bad and the fan needs to be replaced

@@EvanDaly yeah I have a 2006 mustang GT that I spent 3 months trying to diagnose in summer 2018. It ended up being a wire to a fan relay had burned on the underside of the power distribution box in the engine bay. This was not visible until I took the box apart to see the harness connectors on the underside. I saw online other mustangs of this 05-09 generation having the same issue. I changed out my fan assembly prior to discovering the real issue. Not sure what exactly causes this to happen.

Unfortunately, you got the TR-3650. You have to do ALOT to get that thing to work with you. Mine is fully rebuilt, with the perfect amount (3.2 qts) of the best fluid these transmissions take (GM Synchromesh), an MGW shifter, an Exedy Stage 3 Mach 600 clutch, a stainless steel clutch line and CHE torque limiters. I still, very rarely, will get locked out of 2nd gear. Otherwise it just never engages smoothly. Even during normal daily driving it's always a "K-CLUNK" going into 2nd gear. It feels awful. I don't care what people say about the MT-82, this is my second TR-3650 and I've driven in 3 other 07s with a TR-3650 as well, and these are definitely a far worse transmission then the MT-82. Such a garbage glass piece of junk. At least in the MT-82 adding things like a clutch, clutch line, MGW shifter and BG fluid is a significant difference. TR-3650s are just junk. Not to mention the awfully long and spaced out gear ratios. They belong in the scrap yards. When I can afford the swap I'm getting the T56.

How's your luck been with the torque limiters? I wanna get them but if it's not gonna make that much of a difference i might as well just go with better motor mounts
