In this video I give my initial thoughts on the Axis 1310, how it compares to the 1150, and plans for the future.

Hi, you really Need the Advanced fuse ultrashort or smaller. But key is advanced fuse! Make the pitch and stalling way easier !

You are correct! I sold the wing to another guy on the lake and he bought the advanced fuse I recommend for it. It's going to be great for him to learn how to pump

Nice video! For me, learning on the 1310 was easier compared to the 1150. Perhaps it was because of my weight (96kg, now below 90) when I began pumpfoiling. Before I sold my 1310, I managed to successfully start 10 out of 10 times with it. Ultimately, I found the 1310 to be an easy foil to learn with.

Interesting take! Perhaps weight does play a role with that or personal preference to some degree. What was your fuse and rear stab?

@@FoilFanatic42 I had the 460 stabilizer and the ultra short fuselage. Here is one of my videos with the AXIS 1310 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqipYpWZgpeaZs0

When you sold your 1310 what wing did you get next?

@@griffinbrungraber9498first I changed to Takoon X-Glide V2 1950 and then to 1700. I think the Takoon is a little easier to pump than the 1310, but maybe it's my personal feeling.

@@buenacloud Good to know! I haven't seen many reviews of the Takoon X-Glide. Thanks for sharing your videos!

Thanks for the video..Your Dock start is jump&land is it because your Dock is high?. My dock is 12” higher than water, when I used Axis 75 cm mast, I did the jump&land Dock start, which work sometime. Now I am using Axis 90 cm mast and practicing the “Bobsledge” method (Hold the board w/ both hands until you hop on board) some Foilers say it is more accurate on placing your feet, so it is less disturbing to the board and it does look more flow. I am practicing but still am not able to accomplish it. Did you ever try Dock start with “Bobsledge” method? you think the jump&land method can be had depends on which methods one is comfortable with? Any thoughts on these questions…thanks

You are correct, I do the jump and land method because this dock is higher and it is about 12" as well. The "bobsledge" method never worked for me, but it seems to be a lot harder to balance on your hands before placing your feet, without making the foil go nose up and stall. For a lower dock I just have to do the running launch method that I have always used, although that is where the "bobsledge" method would be best. I think whichever method you can get the most consistent with is key.

4:00 Is that whistling/humming noise normal while pumping and does it go away as your speed increases? Or is that just you breathing?
@FoilFanatic423 ай бұрын
I got a good laugh out of this comment, but yeah it's just my breathing. It does go away but only after I pass out lol
@stkl239 күн бұрын
That's the noise of the foil. Either the front wing or the stabelizer, in some cases it comes from the mast too. Only gets louder and higher in pitch if you go faster. To make it go away you need to find the culprit (one of the three aforementioned objects) and sand its trailing edge until it's really sharp.
