Love this video! I just started a few months ago to read tarot cards, and sometimes it happens to me that when I draw a card, im completely lost on the meaning and what it represents. One thing I find it really useful is that when I got a “readers block”, I tend to just not try freak out and let the meanings come to me naturally. Give it a little bit of time (2-3 minutes) and suddenly it will come.

The Labyrinthos app is really cute and helpful for learning and remembering the meanings when first starting out. I've been reading on and off for like 15 years, but I never got past "beginner" level. I'm working on actual buckling down and studying and practicing regularly now.

Thank you for the tips! I love my Druidcraft and my Rider-Waite decks! I do tend to read too much from the books but I will be trying to be more intuitive from now on! Takes me forever to do a reading for myself as I am forever double checking my intuition with the books!

Is it odd that both of your Tarot spread examples resonated with me? The first on a personal level and the second on a "how I feel about the world at large" feeling? When learning the book meanings I started out by suit for the minor arcana, then accompanying court cards, and major arcana as well. I found that learning them as a suit together gave context to the story that unfolded in each suit. 😊

Hi Sarah, am very new to tarot and just wondering, are the meanings attached to the RWS cards the basis for all decks - it is just that I have a deck with imagery in no way comparable to RWS, and the guide is very basic, so, is it still possible to get readings from this deck on its own?
