Enjoyed this interview with the great Greg Clayton immensely. He mentioned he was buddies with Steve Masakowski, whom I'm a great fan of. Maybe you can interview Steve down in New Orleans, Denis ;)

I wonder if anyone knows a jazz guitarist called Mike Gauthier from Montreal, I think? I met him in Ireland in the 70s when he was with a group of folk dancers on a cultural exchange. He gave me a lesson on jazz basics that helped set up my playing for the future.

Lotta lotta info. Nice playing too. I'm always surprised when you let guys talk. It's very nice. (Thinking also of the great Jonathan Stout interview). Thanks. (And hats off to the patient bass player)

Nice interview - very interesting. Wasn't (maybe still is) Sonny Greenwich Montreal based too?

@@surprisedmike Hello, he was from the province of Ontario! Nelson Symonds was living in Montreal though! He got a little bit of famous thanks to an interview with Wes Montgomery where he was mentioned. Alas, he passed away long ago.

Larry's the VIP, he learned all the tunes we played by ear in one listen.
