This was filmed in Switzerland in front of a live audience for the BBC Abba tv special in 1979.Roxy Music and Kate Bush were also guests and appeared in the show.

Thank you again second I want to congratulate your work, how you try to follow the songs interpreting their lyrics With ABBA it is not so easy, because they are Swedish and it took them several years to write good lyrics in English, even until the middle of their career they were helped by their manager so far you made four reactions (year and position in the UK Official Charts): The name of the game (1977, #1) Chiquitita (1979, #2) Does your mother know (1979, #4) One of Us (1981, #3) although I am more of an admirer of the blonde Agnetha, I suggest you balance and the next reaction is for the brunette Frida as the lead voice there is a beautiful presentation of ABBA in British TV 1976 'Top of the Pops' singing live "Fernando" or "Super Trouper" in a live TV Special 'Dick Cavett meet ABBA, 1981'

I'm so glad you were here again to continue with your reactions to ABBA songs, another of my ABBA Top 5! several things to say about "Chiquitita" and it's context in 1979 "Chiquitita" is a beautiful song, it has hopeful lyrics, a melody that starts very soft with Agnetha's solo, then grows and explodes in a powerful chorus; Agnetha and Anni Frida's vocal harmonies are of excellence It allows us to check how excellent singers Agnetha and Frida are and what harmonies of excellence they achieve. It stands out especially when they stretch the monosyllables with great quality and beauty "Chiquitita" was composed especially for premiered at the UNICEF Concert,(January 9, 1979) and its royalties are eternal for UNICEF "Chiquitita" was ABBA's greatest success in Latin America, that prompted ABBA to record it in Spanish, and its success was so extraordinary that in the following year ABBA recorded a full album with their best songs entirely in Spanish ("Chiquitita" in Spanish is the biggest ABBA hit in My country Argentina) This is a TV Special 'ABBA in Switzerland' at February 1979, with other artist linvited, and royalties donated to UNICEF too The perfomance is absolutly fantastic, the girls Agnetha & Frida looks so beautiful I wish to see you soon in another reactions to ABBA songs GOD bless you and stay safe My best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
