In Navisworks, if you only have a drawing number and you want to find the corresponding element in a 3D model, here are steps you can follow: 1. **Use the Search Tool in Navisworks:** - **Open the Find Items Tool**: - Go to the **Home tab** and select **Find Items** from the menu. - **Search for the Drawing Number**: - In the Find Items dialog, look for a property or metadata related to drawing numbers (usually under "Element" or "Property" fields). - Type the drawing number in the **Value** field, and click **Find**. - **Highlight the Found Items**: - Navisworks will highlight the objects associated with that drawing number. You can select the object in the results list, and it will zoom into the location in the 3D model. 2. **Use Viewpoints/Section Box (If Available):** - If the project has been well organized, the model may contain viewpoints or section boxes categorized by drawing number. - In the **Saved Viewpoints** tab, search for viewpoints based on drawing numbers. This will take you directly to the area in the model. 3. **Use Comments or Markups**: - If your team has been marking up the model, it’s possible that the drawing number is referenced in the **comments or markups** in the model. - Use the **Review tab** to search through markups/comments related to the drawing number. 4. **Ask Your Team for Naming Conventions**: - In some projects, teams use structured naming conventions for model elements and viewpoints. Ask if there’s a predefined way drawing numbers are tied to elements in the model, as this will help you navigate faster. If the drawing number is not tied directly to a 3D object but is associated with 2D sheets or documents, you may need to reference the corresponding 2D drawings or ask for help from your BIM manager.

I have 5 floors in a building. I have to save plan view of each floor. How do I save that in navisworks freedom?

if you want separate 3d views for each floors, you need to create each 3d views of each floor. you can use Selection Box for each floor plan and export it to navisworks.
