Canada in the late fall! Way different than southern Nevada! Enjoy learning a new area!

Great video 👍 seemed a little excruciating and sounded painful . Winter just begun!!!! Nice fish.

Thanks Tim, the cold has not been that bad yet, let's hope I can endure the winters for some exciting fishing to come.

I went to Netley Creek/Red last week and got skunked. It was beautiful outside though.
@FinallyFishing10 ай бұрын
True that, It sucks to get skunked, but man it's so pretty out there.

Never mind the fish, you should go into filming! 😊😊 Nice video AND some fish as a bonus. But you are going to end up with smelly gloves 😄. Well done!

I think I prefer smelly cloves over frostbite, can always just wash them. Thanks Joe.

Boy Vernon it looks cold up there. But I bet you got your longjohns on huh. You can’t say it’s a dry cold either like it’s a dry heat. OK buddy take care. We’ll talk to you soon.
@RainyDayForge11 ай бұрын
You definitely do talk about the humidity with the cold. Winnipeg is a dry cold which is good.
@FinallyFishing10 ай бұрын
Thanks Ralph, and Winnipeg is known for having wet/humid summers and dry winters. But the cold is not that bad. The only thing is the wind. Wind chill is a nasty thing. That's why ice-fishing in a heated shelter does not sound that bad. but we will see...

What kind of water thermometer did you use? Also where did you park? Great video, by the way.
@FinallyFishing9 ай бұрын
Thanks Jordan. So I used n kitchen thermometer used for cooking food. Might not be accurate but at least it is something. When it comes to parking, you can use the pay parking lot of the University, but I opted to use the PEGGO bus system for this trip. No parking required.

One thing I can always count on is the beauty of nature you capture in your videos. What a tranquil, gorgeous landscape to spend a few hours in! 😍 Do you think the sun coming out was the reason they started biting? 🏞🎣🎣
@FinallyFishing10 ай бұрын
I don't think the sun help the fish, but it did sure help me. I was casting in different places hand soaked the baits. I just think I found a spot or hole there in the end.

So far, what do you handle the best: Summer heat in Vegas or Winter cold in Canada?
@RichardSparling11 ай бұрын
Wait a minute. It is not cold yet! In February this weather would be called a warm spell. The good news is when it goes below -20 Celsius in Winterpeg, it's definitely a dry cold. Vernon, I am glad to see you're getting well equipped to enjoy the winter weather outside. It was definitely good practice being out in the 'cold' for 3+ hours now while it is still relatively warm.
@fredericboninpissarro578911 ай бұрын
@@RichardSparling LOL, I heard that before but in reverse, "dry heat" in Vegas around 115F ! 😩
@FinallyFishing10 ай бұрын
Yeah so to be fair Fredric, I have not yet experienced the cold out here. But, and that's a big But, you can always dress warmer or get a gas heater for ice fishing. There is no cooler dressing clothes for Vegas. The heat does take your energy, the cold might be bad too, but at least I feel you can prepare or fight the cold. But only time will tell if I would sing a different song...
