LOL I learned this poem and read it to my girlfriend from Russia. She was so impressed and asked where I found this and if I knew what I was talking about. I admitted that I had no idea what I was reading and found it on the Internet and it sounded nice. So we both laughed. She's my wife now 😅

The true genious of the Pushkin is just as what the Shakespeare is - he was first that put truly spoken language into writing and made it the most talented way that everybody liked. So every peasant that knew some grammar could read it, understand and enjoy and admire. That was the revolution of some kind.

Мне показалось, что старушке няне такое никто писать не будет. Полезла почитать, что народ пишет и нашла: накануне 2 ноября 1829 года Пушкин написал "Зима. Что делать нам в деревне?... " В нем он рассказывает о приезде вечером этого дня нежданной семьи: старушка, две девицы... "И дева в сумерки выходит на крыльцо: открыты шея, грудь, и вьюга ей в лицо! Но бури севера не вредны русской розе. Как жарко поцелуй пылает на морозе! Как дева русская свежа в пыли снегов! " - это прелюдия. А на другой день, утром он написал - "Зимнее утро" - "пора, красавица, проснись"....Вот этой красавице, соседке, и посвящено "Зимнее утро".

@@user-to2pw5fk7f Нет, конечно) Она просто муза для образов, это фантазии, которые девушка пробуждает, художественная "правда", эротика того времени с русским морозным колоритом. Сомневаюсь, что ему даже твёрдо заявленный поцелуй на морозе обломился, такое могло быть только на каких-то народных гуляниях типо Масленицы, когда чуть больше дозволялось по народным традициям. Все остальное плод его фантазии о возможных отношениях и пробуждении понравившиеся барышни. Ими многие страдают или наслаждаются, тут уж как посмотреть, и мужчины и женщины, даже если предмет фантазий никакого реального повода не даёт.

Pushkin's and Yesenin's poems actually initiated me to start learning the Russian language, because being able to read their poetry in the original language is the only way to properly understand and admire the complexity of the meaning of their works. My current favorite Pushkin poem is "Я помню чудное мгновенье". I will certainly continue to attend your next BeFluent Camp and, of course, I will expect to meet Pushkin there as well. 😉

Beautiful evocative poem, captures for me a multiplicity of imagined life perfections. But translations never succeed like the original. I think that not quite knowing the words adds to the beautiful mystery of the occasion. Thanks for this. Now I have to dig out my Eugene Onegin.

Может, немного не в тему, но... У одного нашего блогера наткнулся на обзор некого сериала (не наткнулся бы, не знал об этом сериале ничего) - что-то вроде Сумерек для бедных, производства Германии. Сразу смешно стало: 1. В сериале про британскую аристократию, всяких там лордов; 2. Сюжет связан с путешествиями во времени. Фишка вот в чём. Производство Германии. Сериал на русский не дублирован, а озвучен, то есть язык оригинала, здесь немецкий (sprechen sie Deutsch) отчётливо слышен. Шекспир в его время, на немецком...😂 Знаю популярные в России сериалы, в оригинале которых немецкий и также озвучка, а не дубляж, Коммисар Рекс (Kommisar Rex) тот же, но там же нет английской аристократии и Шекспира шпрехающих.))))

@@tingleblade4274 i was in an excursion in Petersburg last August and the guide said "thanks to Pushkin for his work in reshaping the Russian lang." You and i doesn't know what the or how difficult the Rus language was im tge 16th to the 18th centuries....

@@AvidAfrican People often repeat cliches without understanding their meaning. Apparently guide wasn't a linguist, so that's excusable. Old Russian, like most Indo-European languages, was "richer". In the same Old Russian there was also a dual number, 3 paradigms of conjugation of verbs, ... (although, in my humble opinion, modern Russian verb system remains complex today in aspects and voice) The language is constantly changing. No mortal can change the language, it's just absurd. The language changes itself. And Pushkin did not change it. But he created wonderful works and they love him in Russia for it There is a strong linguistic school in Russia that studies its language well. A huge number of dictionaries and textbooks on ancient grammar have already been published. Many texts of the ancient language have been preserved. Its parameters are quite well studied

При всём уважении к Пушкину и его стихам, он не очень подходит иностранцам для изучения русского языка. Много слов, которые или вышли из употребления или крайне редко встречаются. Только для русских, чтобы богатство языка поддерживать, подойдёт.

@@Chaldon-hl6yk, как человек, понимающий разницу между шекспировским английским и современным, а также разницу между британским и американским, могу сказать, что это очень полезно при изучении языка, то-есть разбирать его изменения, временные, географические. Так-что Пушкина вполне можно рекомендовать иностранцам. Если человек сможет разобраться во всех устаризмах и высокопарных словах, он получит от этого исключительно пользу.

Смешно. Николай Васильевич Гоголь был бы очень удивлен, узнав, что он вдруг стал украинским писателем. Тем более в его время никакой Украины не было, и родился он в Российской Империи.
