@@alizedadiva11343 I really can't pinpoint something that has helped me particularly because what I know about tarot is an amalgamate of different sources and i go back to them all the time, this knowledge then is stored in my subconscious and I loose track of where it came from but yes these are good videos, save them all. Advice for beginners is don't read for yourself too much. It's not that you can't do it, you're highly subjective, specially as a beginner. Draw a "card of the day" every morning and see at the end of the day how it connected to your experience. You don't have to learn the celtic cross to be a good reader or even abide by a certain type of spread. I use past/present/future type of readings the most but followed up with more intuitive drawings about particular questions. Don't ask yes or no questions as a beginner. Sometime you need to let the knowledge marinate. Stop reading for a couple weeks and when you take the cards out again you'll see improvement. Cleanse your cards (and your house) weekly at minimum and meditate daily but specially before reading. Hope this helps!

For the High Priestess, the "B" stands for Boaz and the "J" stands for Jachin. These two pillars guarded the Temple of Solomon. The dark one can also represent the moon or divine feminine and the light one can represent the sun and divine masculine. Together, the names Boaz and Jachin can be translated as "be strongly established in the Lord" (or Spirit, or the Universe, or whatever name you call the divine source)

Boaz was also a person in the Bible. He was a prince but personally watched over the harvest of the fields to prevent thief so the grain could be stored to feed the people. He was also compassionate and allowed widows to gather the grains left behind during harvest. He marries one of the young widows, Ruth, whom had relocated to her MIL's hometown to care for her. Their love story is considered one of the most romantic in the Bible. Boaz represents compassion and generosity to those less fortunate than himself. There is no person named Jachin in the Bible. The only reference is to the columns in the first temple. Jachin means strengthens and makes steadfast in Hebrew.

Calm your mind. Steady your breath. Clear the air. Set your intention 1b. Place receiving hand under deck, and transmuting hand on top 2. Shuffle until intuition deems necessary to stop 3. Split deck into 3 sections and allow intuition to decide which to place on top of each other. Do as many times as intuition deems necessary. 4. Maybe I wasn't ready, or maybe my deck wasn't great for beginners. Honestly I'm just tipping my feet into tarot. I come from a latin american catholic family that isn't very dogmatic, which I'm thankful for. My grandmother and my father believed in certain signs of God that came through "magik", as some mighy call it, or other manifestations, because that was my grandmother's culture in the small island she was born in. I trust intuition as a sign of God and the universe. I was going through KZbin looking for some basic introduction into Tarot and didn't open any videos until I felt one sparked my attention or "felt" like the right one. And then I saw your thumbnail and I was like "That's it, it's her, she's the one". I've spent the last hour watching your videos and you're such a great teacher. I know it's complex and this is an introduction, but you really know how to explain things well and everything makes sense to me. I've also already ordered my first deck!
