Since you mentioned seeking pointers I will add a few after doing 600 solos on my iron with bowfa/trident. I would strongly recommend using thralls in solos. The mage method you are trying to do is 3:0, when you do the drag cast (from far right) and splash, the head may not completely turn - this is added anticipation and requires you to force turn the head again and lose ticks, dps, and take dmg. Thralls have 100% accuracy and will force the head to turn so that you can just run it with no overheads and just go off the 4t attack speed of your trident and not constantly be resetting. This also applies to melee and 4:1 since if you zero out you will take an additional hit when middle skipping. So thralls = good. When you enter olm just run to the middle of the floor and cast mage thrall while waiting for to see which side it appears. If you're concerned about flamewalls, bring a wateringcan that has 8 uses. Surely you wont get hit by 8 flamewalls. I would also recommend tagging olms head since the large highlight box will appear before you would be able to see olm, this allows you to reach the pinky tile quick enough that you can always start p1 tick perfect and 0dmg (unless you and thrall splash, which is rare but does happen since thrall rolls at 0-3dmg despite 100% acc). I would also use destination and true tile to be dialed in on your timing since it is indeed tick perfect, olm is 4t, your staff and lance is 4t. For example, when you do the drag cast, your character runs 2 tiles at a time with 1 tile at the end. If youre not observant of this then its going to be very easy to attack 1t too early and end up in the middle and take an auto attack on robes. I would also recognize and practice the importance of the 3 unique starts for each phase. Ignoring sweating or alternative methods you may investigate in the future, the standard approach is to start p1 by sprinting to that pinky tile immediately and hovering the mage hand to attack as soon as the option appears. P2, you can stand in the same spot hovering the hand and count to 3 (the timing is awkward but youll get it). P3, you stand one tile right of the pinky hand and hammer 2x, or hammer 1x then 1x lance, and immediately skip to the middle like you normally would for 4:1. If you do this correctly, you will automatically be in 4:1. If youre on flame phase, remember to try to be moving from right to left whenever it does its auto attack. Again, not criticism, just trying to help and shorten the learning curve. I'd help you ingame but you always have private off :p We used to chat when we were like 2k total

When you're running 3:0 mage hand, dont go over to the thumb tile, it'll keep you from messing up when you're on pinky, because you wont have to time it, you'll just attack as soon as your true tile gets to pinky. When you attack on the left side, jump to the right side of olm(which is two tiles over), as soon as you attack, go to pinky

I’ve only just started learning CoX myself but just a QoL.. I’ve always been told to pray melee when the small muttadile is in melee distance, range when it’s 2 tiles away and just tank the erratic magic hits . Definitely worth giving it a shot as I seem to take way less damage than you are. Good luck on the journey and great vid as always man🔥

When you figure it out make a guide for solo irons.

Lol, it's not bad. I farm no preps on my iron with trident and mystics. Just don't be lazy, and make concise efforts to get back in cycle instead of just starting running it and being hopeful. Also, knowing how to start each of the 3 phases tick perfect is helpful and consistent.

I went through the same brutal learning curves on Olm with the tick perfect 4 tick cycles. Now that I have it it's a muscle memory and rhythm game. Mage hand was all about anticipating his head turn to click attack right as he turns head. Melee hand is different since you attack 1 tick after olm attacks. You can get into it by watching for his head to do an animation and react clicking. It was always easier to tank specials and autos until crystals and enter 4:1 on the auto after crystals, Aatycon has a video explaining this and even calls it a "cheat" for getting into 4:1. Looking forward to the series.

muttadiles you can freeze instead of trying to farm an axe, and vasa is the easiest room and free once you learn it. Good luck man! edit: i see you fire spell ice demon- but bowfa works better unless you're fire surging, but you can be on ancients while using bowfa so

I stayed away from all V rooms my first 200 solos. Then one day I tried them out and realized Vasa and Vesp are some of the easiest rooms in the raid. Gl on your future raids!
