Ok for wheel slip. I would recommend putting a microcontroller that whenever wheel-slip is detected it applies the brakes a little or decreases throttle, this will make it easy to take off. The generators are also automatic in real locomotives. You would want them turned on all the time because on diesel locos IRL, the battery banks are not that big, they are just big enough to move the train to different areas in a yard but not big enough to operate as a HEV or a PHEV.

Perfect, thank you :)

I use the wheel slip on an up down counter. When it slips it lowers the throttle. Use the settings to reduce slippage.

Blinker on the slip is used to tune how reactive it is.

As a real-life class 1 engineer who hauls freight, I can tell you that an AC loco like that one is a minimum of 4250 HP and can be as high as 6000hp and you can pull up to 60 intermodal cars with just one but we typically run them in sets. Also on locomotives, the axles are built into the actual AC motor not separate. It is a Diesel engine connected to a DC generator then it runs through a DC to AC converter and that goes into the motors.

Have you ever considered making a ocean survey or drilling boat as the community haven’t made one recently
@454ss_gaming9 ай бұрын
I make a lot of Research/Survey ships, but have not done oil drilling! That is planned at some point too :)

@@454ss_gaming yessssss when I meant survey I meant as in geological survey looking for oil minerals etc

Looks really good cant wait to see the final project. And recommendation add a track switcher so you dont have to get out of the locomotive every 5 minutes.
@454ss_gaming9 ай бұрын
For sure this will be added :) It is still SUPER rough!

@@454ss_gaming I'd also look into supporting Uran_Wind's ZE Smart Signals in addition to the default ones, the smart signals are super cool and useful
@ValkyrGaming7 ай бұрын
add a throttle dampner so its slow to accelerate like real trains
@454ss_gaming7 ай бұрын
I already did! The acceleration of the final version is the speed I want it at

I wish I released my locomotives before I had to sell my pc. Still have the files though

could always talk with a friends who has a pc and stormworks or get in contact with a maker that could release them for you

completely off topic, but do you have any suggestions for what pumping system i should use for a (about) 1 million liter ballast tank? it's for a submarine i'm trying to fix

And what about to try TCP? Because EOS (guys behind Wabsim-Jimmy Swaggy is from there) are quite toxic when something is unrealistic or not by their wishes, while guys behind TCP want this variety-that is even our aim-to various things work together
@454ss_gaming9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I have a good relationship with the designer of every system. Jimmy Swaggy recommended I not use his system since it is complex. I think I will create my own system :)

I wish you lot of luck then. P.S. Tothat toxic people: I rechecked it and it is mainly about 2 or 3 persons, so it is not big deal as each community, sadly, must have these guys because without them it would be too boring. If you decide to use Wabsim and carefuly implement it (not like me, I probably did some mistake) it is very nice system. It is basicaly most realistic as can be without lag (real pressurized air has issues, logic is here better). If you can sacrifice some realistics, but want ton of nice functions, go for TCP. Or like you said-DIY because in it is only limitation you
