Man, they were some tough trail conditions for someone just starting out. Well done to you both for your patience and persistence, I hope you didn't break him and he sticks with it. I am sure he won't feel it now but next time on the bike it will feel much easier for the muscle memory. 👍

Go Mason! You're doing great, i can already see so much progress! This sport requires tons of grit and you HAVE IT my man! Keep in mind that your coach is pushing you harder than most people can handle. But if you can handle it, he will get you up to your potential faster than anyone and i promise you the journey is fun, challenging, and rewarding. And if that bike is still geared for highway speeds over 40mph then keep in mind that great selection will be challenging and you will likely have to slip the clutch a ton in the higher gear for those tougher climbs. And compare to Tanner, he is on the easiest bike in the world to ride in those conditions. The bike will never replace skill, but once you get the fundamentals down it is fun on a bike like that because it's easier to have more fun for a longer day.

Absolutely love the comparison vids between you onboard the beastly 300 and the beginner friendly CRF. Maybe a vid comparing riding the two bikes and how you adjust your techniques to match the very different abilities of a friendly trail bike and woods racer. I ride and both and find adjusting between the two a lot of fun and quite challenging.

I know this feeling - I have a buddy that's teaching me and another newbie how to ride trails, and I always seem to be the one to drop my bike. The one thing that your buddy here is definitely doing right is taking all the drops in stride. If you get mad and frustrated, you're not going to learn a damn thing. That is, of course, unless he was having tantrums off camera, lol.

Don't know how many people started this way and said this isn't for me. When you know you know, but when you don't it's very frustrating. The lucky ones start young, but for mature beginners it's very daunting. I'm 66 and have never been able to get my son, now 38 to pick up the sport. A couple days like this was enough for him.

it is the same bulshit of slef learning by faults and tirals. the speciality of narrow brain enduro culture.. Better take clinics, lessosn, even trial practice. It is always the guy showing to the other showing to the other... Sorry but it makes me sad and ost me a lot of time. He is most of time pedaling with feet... Should go on a flat place and practice balance control...

Cool video! Comical too 😂 can you please tell me what kind of camera mount you guys use? I'm guessing body mount camera? I live in Central Pennsylvania coal country and back in the 70s we used to climb one of the bony piles up here. There was a whole family of crazy people across the road and the Dad used to come outside and shoot at us with a shotgun. Now the BBs never reached us so we just usually flipped him the peace sign and ignored him. Please understand that this whole family was crazy and they didn't have a floor in the house. They lived on a dirt floor and had an outhouse for a bathroom. Also they kept 2 horses in the house and I remember the horses head looking out the window 😂😂 true story!

Brother when backing down a hill the best thing to do is using the clutch as a brake. Engine on or off. Front brake can be used as a supplement but it's so weak backing up, good way to go sliding back Good vid otherwise

I would say that terrain was a bit much for him. You are not learning anything if its a continuous struggle. I am thinking of getting back to riding after 25yr break and eyeing a CRF250F, but this video was very discouraging, lol. My last bike was a Yamaha IT200 25yrs ago though, so maybe I retained some of the skills and it won't be that frustrating.
@AdventureDaily Жыл бұрын
If he was your age, maybe. He is a young buck with plenty of energy and learned a lot of valuable skills this day which progressed him a lot quicker. Exhausting maybe, but to claim he didn't learn anything because he struggled is a joke. It's HARD ENDURO, we all struggle that's the point lol. Thanks for watching! The 250F is a great bike to learn.

@@AdventureDaily True, maybe ideal scenario would have been to find a short challenging section where you can easily circle back and just keep repeating until you get it right. I am thinking that is what I will do until I feel confident again to go on a long trail. And age is not a factor!! 😃

I don't condone man trapping trails and if you own property and want to keep riders off it , 1 Post signs,; 2 fell trees and put logs or rocks on trails to deter unwanted riders; 3 get the word out not to ride on your land. If idiots continue to disregard that then get the cops out as soon as you hear them on your land.
