Learning To Connect

So, one of my patients with severe trauma and a fear of connecting with others underwent some amazing transformations as a part of our work. He made this video as a testimony to the work we did together and he also wrote a book to document his life.

I've been in and out of many forms of analysis, therapy and counseling my whole adult life. At age 59, I'm finally being guided to this very step: connection. I finally realize I need a village, so I'm working on that now. I'm grateful to all the therapists, self-help books, and videos like those of Dr. Ham that have brought me to this place: ready to take risks, be authentic, stop hiding.

It is presented too simplistic, in developmental trauma, its not as easy as that

So, learning to connect is done by going to a psychotherapist and exposing bad memories? That's not very helpful imo.
