I'm 25 and have been learning on and off for two years. My instructor was lovely but I just hated driving. It got to the point where I was just looking for excuses not to drive. I'm now learning in an automatic and I love it, it's easy and my driving has instantly improved. I don't agree that passing in an automatic restricts you, they're so common now it's just the same as having a manual car.

I had my second driving lesson today and my instructor had my drive home, and i panicked so much thinking about driving on a main road, but it wasn't half as bad as i thought it would be and it made me feel so much more confident about my lesson next week

Air freshener!! I was terrified to start driving and put off starting to learn for months! But similar to you I used the instructor my sister (who was pregnant at the time of learning) had so my instructor asked about about her and her baby ect ect

I'm 16 in a month and I have recently been driving on my families land with my dad and today I started, changed gears and stopped without stalling which I am so happy about! I am so excited to be able to drive but I have a year until I can get my provisional haha! I loved this video xox

i am starting my lessons again soon after i do hypnotherapy to help with my driving anxiety, i did Manuel before but didnt click and now im doing automatic which i prefer much more, im hoping to do it frequently as i am at uni and havent had the time to :) this video really helped

I turned 17 at the end of October and started driving on 20th January. I've had 4 out of 11 lessons so far I'm enjoying it as I want to have more independence other than walking places when my parents aren't home. my instructor already on about me booking my theory as there's like a month wait but I'm not ready😩.

I really like this video. I'm 21 and started my driving lessons at 18 and gave up about 6 months later because I was too nervous and stressing and my instructor was sh*t and I just panicked myself so much I left it and now I'm 21 everyone I know drives and I wish I could drive now but I'm in my last year of uni, last semester, so I'm super stressed with uni so hopefully I can start again after I finish. I'm just so scared. Anyway this gave me some confidence but I know I defo didn't pick it up well at all and I stress too much :(

Thanks Alice! My 20th birthday is coming up and I think I'm going to learn how to drive so this was helpful!! I got into an accident which put me off driving and getting into cars all together as I got PTSD from it!! Think I'm ready now though!!💪🏻👀

Air freshener! Did you have problems switching from your instructors car to your mums? Cause I find I stall my/my brothers car all the time cause it's like 12 years older but I'm fine in my instructors car X

I learned to drive in my mums vw passat which is HUGGEEE and I hated it so much and it was manual and i was so awful because I learned to drive in Dublin

I booked my practical for mid June (after my uni exams finish) and idk if you mentioned this but how many lessons did you do? I've done 11 hours so far and I've covered all the manoeuvres but I just feel like I'm going to forget them over exam period 😩 xx p.s. AIR FRESHENER 😉

i did about 16 hours of driving lessons when i was 18 but quit cos i wasnt any good and i didnt like my instructor and i wasnt even on the main roads and now im 22 and loads of people that i know have passed their tests and got cars and it makes me wanna do it again but im scared
