You helped me realize I wasn't being submissive in an area of my life and now I've repented and have such peace and trust. Thank you for being my Mentor. You are so beautiful and radiant from the inside out, and I can't wait to meet you in heaven ❤ thank you for your kingdom work.

As a man, I’m aware that these videos are meant to strengthen a woman’s marriage in a Godly way, but it’s good for me to know how my wife should be treating me. I’m a young man learning about this stuff from both the husband and wife’s perspective. I’ve been lied to and now I see the kind of biblical woman a man of God should have. Thank you for these teachings. I hope I can find a young wife who loves these teachings because she loves the Lord and the truth.

In current Western civilization. These types of women are virtually non-existent. The only real hope you have is to find one that is very young, 18-22, that has been home schooled and not allowed to date (a virgin), who still lives under the authority of her father, and go through some training with her before you commit to her. If you really want some good books to read and share with a girl you are courting, here is a list. "The Power of a Transformed Wife" - Lori Alexander "Created to be his Help Meet" - Debi Pearl "The Excellent Wife" - Martha Peace And for you, I recommend "The Exemplary Husband" - Dr. Stuart Scott You should read through the women's books with your prospective girl and see how she responds to the teaching of these Godly older women. If she takes the teaching well, you might have a chance at a decent marriage, if she does not, break it off and keep looking. Even if/when you decide to marry a girl, the challenge has just begun. It is your job to husband her and wash her in the water of the word to help to remove her spots and blemishes. Good wives are not born, they are made.

I typed up how to have quiet spirit. Something inclined me to this video over the other ones. Then I heard you said you were sick for 30 years. I've been fighting illness for a while now. And it gets me worked up not being able to know the cause and the answer. You met me right at my level when you shared that.

I seem to get caught up in the emotions of what other people do. Always trying to help but somehow it backfires. Do your own business and work with your own hands set me free from being involved in this area of other peoples lives. It went deep to allow me to remain meek and humble and let the cards fall where they choose. I remain feminine in my own world. Thank you

I love this topic too and I really enjoyed hearing you speak about it. This teaching is so foundational. Husbands and children both can gain strength and find comfort in a wife and mother that has a meek and quiet spirit. It can change the home and an entire family.

I learned in therapy that not all feelings are truth & facts..I use to think if I feel it, it has to be the truth..Emotions influence our Behaviors & the devil knows if we get up in our feelings too much it can cause many other issues. Feelings are fleeting so when I get my feelings hurt I ask God to show me what I'm suppose to learn & ask God to have his way with it & give up my control on it. I like the verse Ecclesiastes 11:10

Getting your feelings hurt is self-pity (eyes focused on yourself) which is satanic. Take your eyes off of yourself and your feelings and put them on Christ! Stop allowing your feelings to be hurt. Pour love and grace upon your husband instead as Christ does for you. Your husband will never be perfect and say the right things. You can go around feelings sorry for yourself or you can push those hurt feelings aside and allow Christ and His love for you to invade your life instead! ❤

@@LoriAlexander1980it is not self-pity when a woman's feelings get hurt! Do you say the same thing when a man's feelings get hurt??? No! You tell women to practically fawn over them to make them HAPPY!!

@@LoriAlexander1980 I don't think emotional hurt is self pity. I think our husbands or friends or even church family do or say things that genuinely wound us sometimes; be it intentionally or unintentionally. Pretending they don't and not telling them about it is intellectually dishonest, and how are they supposed to seek forgiveness if they're unaware they have wronged you? Yes, give them grace, because WE aren't perfect either. You may experience emotions without being ruled by them. That is why faith AND reason go hand in hand, not faith OR reason. God gave us emotions, both good and bad as indicators. To stifle the painful ones and attempt to manufacture joyful ones is disingenuous, and self-deception. It's not satanic to have your feelings hurt. Something someone share with me was working on becoming "unoffendable", meaning, yes sometimes people do hurt us with their words and actions, and yes, they should be accountable for their words and actions. But it is entirely up to us how deeply we allow that wound to penetrate our hearts. Giving grace and forgiveness and gentleness is not permission for others to be reckless with their words and actions and behaviors, but part of responding biblically to hurt, humiliation, etc. Being able to discern insecurities that cause us to be easily hurt or offended is the first step. Clothing ourselves in Christ for our identity rather than something external also helps, and is central to healing from deep emotional wounds. Loving God With All Your Mind by Elizabeth George (original edition) helped me to stop ruminating on destructive thought patterns and instead to take it first to Christ , focusing on what is true and real. When people (in my experience , specifically believers) experience responses from you that are gracious, gentle, and compassionate, they are moved to repentance, more often than not, and I've even been thanked for holding people accountable without belittling them or humiliating them or retaliation. It means a lot when they see their failures are met with compassion.

Hi there! First of all, I just wanted to thank you for the series. I have your book, but there is some thing about the video format. That is just so helpful. Thank you, thank you thank you. Second, I have a five month old and I am starting to get curious about how it is to stopTheir temper tantrums in the first three years of life. Obviously, my son is too young for this right now but I’m wondering what age and how to go about doing this. Hopefully you can direct me to something specific to read or give me specific suggestions. Thank you so much.

Maybe someday you can widen this gentle, quiet spirit to dealing with mother in laws. My mother in law and I were at odds on what I fed my children, and how we educated our children, and she wanted daycare/preschool for them, etc. My husband felt caught between us even though he and I were in agreement. My solution was to stay away from her as much as I could. She told me I was selfish. I don't think I exercised a gentle, quiet spirit by avoiding the situation when I could.

I don't think that it's wrong to avoid difficult people, even if they are extended family. It's not her place to tell you how to parent, so she is the one that is out of line. If you can remain in peace when she is contentious it will make the issue loudly apparent, perhaps even to her. You could consider saying that she has the right to her opinion, but that you just don't agree and then dispassionately move on. She will start getting the message that her merely expressing her opinion won't mean that she has the power to enforce it on your family. I pray that God will help you with this tough situation. Why don't more mothers and mothers-in-law want to be a blessing rather than a nightmare?

@@LoriAlexander1980 Ms. Lori, I always enjoy your content, but there is an additional problem. There's lady named jenniferfountain1961. She's a feminist who has made it her mission to attack traditional family values while claiming to be led by God. If you get the chance, please call her out by name. A clear message needs to be sent to everyone about women like her who attack our values.
