I got married at 51 to my husband, and this is SO true. We didn't marry with the goal of making the other over in my image. Over the upcoming 11 years, we have had many challenges, at times we didn't always like each other, but at the end of the day the love and commitment is still there. I had to learn to let God take care of him, like he takes care of me, and we don't need to do HIS job. He is working His plan for my husband, and I have to be obedient to Him for myself. Ours is a marriage that "shouldn't" succeed(different ages, races, kids from my relationship), but it is because He is in the middle of it.

Can you still change a marriage around. Being separated now 9 years ago in June. Married 45 years in September. And have 18 children together. I’ve made several attempts to try too turn things around. Only to be met with more rejection. Sincerely Mary

How do you heal after INFIDELITY? My husband cheated on our 27 year marriage with his married coworker. He took her on many “business” trips while leaving me to deal with my father dying of cancer, my mom’s decline heath due to many, many TIAs ( mini strokes), and taking care of his father with Alzheimer’s. He splurged on her and ignored me. My FAMILY discovered the affair on our FAMILY VACATION. ( He tried to get out of going on the vacation with us!). When I discovered it he was literally sending her a picture of a lingerie clad mannequin in a lingerie shop window. That’s how I figured out that my now sexless marriage wasn’t due to a health problem (like I had feared and asked him to see a physician for a yearly checkup) but it was due to no interest in me and a sexual affair with this married coworker!! She had left her husband and now my husband had all the time in the world to go “check on his dad” but he was actually driving an hour away to have s-x with her!!
