I am 56 years old....I had a horrible math teacher, I mean horrible. He would throw the ruler at us if we did not understand. I grew up hating/afraid of measuring, algebra, etc. I wish I had a teacher like you when I was in school. Thanks so much for this video!!

OMG!!! Reading ( understanding) a ruler has been a nemesis to me my entire life and has always bothered me that I didn't understand. The best way is to use a tape measure is just use16ths for everything. That way you don't have to calculate fractions. For instance instead of 10 and 1/2 it's 10-8.
