Yo this is so good for day one, I actually just got started with skateboarding 2 months ago. One thing that helped my Ollie’s go higher was being on the balls of my feet with my foot that’s popping the board, doing the Ollie’s while rolling, and sliding up your other foot at the same time you pop. You’ll get it bro i promise

looks good for day 1. One thing that helped me understand the concept of the pop is that the board has to be weightless for it to actually pop. Meaning you jump off the board which slaps the tail into the ground and the tail is then able to pop since there is no body weight on it at all. If you pop with your back leg still on the board, it deadens the pop because there is a weight making it heavy. I highly recommend watching the 44 minute video on the ollie by SkateIQ, he breaks down the timing in detail and you can see frame by frame that your back leg is off the board when the pop happens. Also, raising the back knee is one of the most important steps for an ollie, raising the knee brings the foot in the air and allows the tail to come up making for a leveled out ollie. If you dont raise the back knee, your leg is in the way of the tail trying to come up off the ground. This is just the normal ollie steps after the pop- After the pop, you let the board come up and your front leg kinda guides it forward and down. As you're guiding the nose forward and down, your back knee has to be raised so that the board can actually be leveled out. Hope this helps because it helped me a lot

@@EmmzSoDead yeah no problem, it helped me so much. I'm also still trying to get my ollies better by going to the skatepark and doing it with the assistance of holding on to a metal fence (on concrete).

Great start! Drag your front foot up the grip tape for more air time. You have a good pop in the back but you're slamming your front foot down right after
