It's really strange that Netflix decided to find an actor who actually can play the instrument, how many shows did they make with actors just imitating playing an instrument. I play the violin so I always look at performances of actors playing an instrument to see where they failed. Watching the TV show I was surprised how well they edited it. Now I know why it looks so good in the show. The actor's actually playing it. Holy feck I love him for that.

I only play piano, which is a LOT easier to fake (or to even to just learn a piece or two on), but even just from observation within the musical world, it's so painfully obtrusive when people are miming.
