I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am so happy they buffed Probius before they put the game on "Maintenance Mode." He is so much better than he was. I really wanted to like him when he came out. Now he's actually a usable Hero.

Ya but far from perfected. Given the set up I think it would actually be fitting to give him a stun out of his portals. While a bit annoying the set up allows for counterplay as well as survivability when varian go smash

there is something you should know about the photon canons, if they are placed inside a pylon's area, they gain detection, ie. they can see cloaked heroes and inside smoke/bushes

pve is my favorite part of this game. I'm glad you are able to have fun with Probius now, I think his rework was one of the best they ever did: they kept his quirky gameplay and made it a much smoother experience while not destroying his niche (RIP tassadar)

Shield tass was honestly one of my top 3 favorite characters. His interaction with other specific characters was awesome (like illidan holy shit) i really miss the old tass.

While I liked old Tass, it never made sense with the fantasy of being a High Templar. The re-work just needed to be done. Maybe there was a way they could taken his old kit, made some adjustments, and grafted it onto a new hero.

The only character I would ever give Pally tips on. So here goes: 1 - Self cast your warp rifts to help run away. The slows on the chasing enemy often get you to freedom. 2 - Always have one pylon for vision and then just use one for mana. 3 - Like with blink Liming some crazy jinks into trouble with your rush will actually dodge incoming damage and enable you to scoot to freedom.

Oh. 4 - This one is a bit over the top but: Pick a super blending skin. Such a small model and you create loads of visual noise with your abilities etc. Makes you harder to see.

The Minerals used to just be for the lv1 quest, and they still work with it (bonus turret hp plus damage, works well with tower defence and means you have to worry less about AoE destroying the cannons) but since the rework/buff they added that the minerals spawn even without the quest and give 0.75 cooldown skip on summon pylon. You can also give yourself spell armour from your cannons, which if you go full cannon helps you stay alive though you'll have less worker rush safety in exchange.

Glad you're enjoying Probius! Always been one of my guilty pleasure heroes, I avoided buying him and only played him on free weeks 'cause I thought it was funnier that way. Also, totally love watching you PvE around the map for a whole game; the fun you have tends to leak through. Hopefully more probe gaming on the way!

Honestly, I never got heavy into pvp so I know my opinion doesn't mean much, but my sgt hammer was making silver and some gold players pull their hair out, and I regularly was top damage in both siege and hero, despite regularly ignoring team fights. The trick isn't to get stuck in, it's to take pot shots and flee to another lane. If they chase, they waste time. If they don't chase, you kill walls.

I've always loved Probius. He's gone through soo many iterations due to being a unique hero with very variable strengths depending on the maps. Yet, I've never really thought he was bad. He has some of the most disturbing damage output vs both heroes or buildings. He has always excelled at objective control, doesn't generally get targeted too much even though he is very squishy. his biggest issue in the past and still to some extent today is that you're allies often don't play to the teams strength as a whole and you can often be left alone on objective while they die 4 vs 5 since you have very little chase potential.

pally one thing with the boomerang q is that if you shoot it and immediately put a portal in its path its a nearly instantaneous detonation when the q comes back its good for burst damage but you cant move otherwise the q will change its path you can also put your warprift where the q will end so it forms and detonates as soon as the hitbox appears

Probe is one of my favorite used-to-be support heroes. The rework on him was hard to get used to, but it's very powerful. My favorite build is recall.

big tip: if you want to focus on rotating between lanes safely, put a pylon and turret in between lanes to keep vision and dismount heroes moving for ganks. dont need the pylon but it adds damage and gives them something to hunt instead of you, like a murky egg.

when probrius was on free trial i had so much fun playing q and warp rift build i hated cannon build it was so fun to just set up domino rifts and detonate them

With Varian smash much of the damage comes after he shreds your armour and he starts to aa. If you don't save a w to slow him down enough you will die. The hardest bit about probius is knowing when to blow up a w or leave it to cc them

As Probius you kinda just gotta accept that you can very easily die. Sometimes the enemy just stuns you and there is nothing you can do about it.

Hey pally you should check the other ultimate, at level 20 you can have it permanently, if you put it in a wave it's a permanent "lava wave"

Probius is liek Shaco in league, only really storg if you engage him, otherwise you can just leave his control. Of course he can build a base around you and trap you but it's pretty hard to pull off. Though I do love assassin lightning pylons myself :P

pve is the only reason i can be competitive in ranked moba. since i always play solo, the best thing i can rely on is myself. either i pick jungle hero with global ability or high burst dps in solo lane to steal objectives. and finally, whenever we were losing, ill just ignore every teamfight and go for the towers to win the game.

Your really don't need a third pylon, I think null gate is far better since it really locks out spaces especially on this map, and the 20 makes ot permanent as long as it's within a pylon

I've always had a soft spot for Probius. He's not great, and thats what makes him GREAT! Null gate is the most disgusting CC in the game and you always have it. Draw it lengthwise or diagonal for endless slo mo enemies. Check out Fanhots terrorizing people with the probe!
