Learning to Ride an Evolve Electric Skateboard || Ep 1

A little while ago we started working with Fred on a marketing project. It wasn't long before he told us that while he liked our product, he wasn't the biggest fan of skateboards generally.
We were able to coax him into trying out one of our boards (Carbon GT) and it turned out he didn't hate it as much as he thought.
So... we asked him if he would be interested in learning how to ride the board...and then we asked him to video his experience :-)
He put together 4 videos - here is the first.

This video helped me pull the trigger !! Proud owner of GTR series 2 ! And today was my first day riding it ! Whew what a BLAST! I definitely had hit the break to hard one time and flew forward LMAO! Luckily I didn’t fall but ! Later on in the day I got to overzealous and ended up wipinggg out bad ! 🤣🤣🤣 but hopped back on and now lesson learned ! Plan to work on my skills daily !

THIS VIDEO WAS THE DEAL BREAKER FOR ME TO JOIN EVOLVE FAMILY.... Hi Evolve team, I must admitted, I LOVE MY BOARD, its only been 3 weeks that I pick up my new Carbon GT and I have to admit that I did a lot of home work before I brought one, and the reason I pick this video to be my favourite video is: I relate a lot with Fred, yes I don't have a good sense of balance, yes Skateboard is terrifying. I'm making the right choice ? but by seen Fred doing make my dream become close to a reality , and I sad( if Fred did I can do it kkk), how good it is to put the board on my car drive to the beach and have a good cruise along the beach, take to the shops, it is easy, fun, practical, and the support I got from evolve team has been exceptional, (before and after the sale), I now have been convince all my friends to join Evolve family, I probably watched 100 videos before making my decision, and now after 3 weeks I know that I made the right choice, if you where like me and not sure what to do it, just go for it you want regret looking forward to see this new board that is coming out .... thanks Evolve regards Marcelo Arantes

I was sceptical when you said it took you few weeks to learn from 0 what literally matches my skills .. but after day one ive already get to do basic turns and speeding up to 25km/h with no problem 😎 thanks to watching your tips before i even get on my new board 🤩 after a week (to get even more comfortable) am planing to start learning some tricks and move to gtr mood ... if any one around london feels like tagging along or helping out pls hit me up 🤙

I like this video. Since I've no experience in riding a skateboard and now an electric skateboard, so watching this video at least give me some knowledge about it if im riding on it for the first time. Good things there for creating a video about this. It shows that there's a concern feeling for those who never have a chance to ride it.

I am in the same boat scared of skateboards but been really interested if an electric one would be easier to learn on. Good video gives me some hope that it is possible.

Thanks for the comment Mike. Fred was genuinely cautious of skateboards before he started the series. He now rides regularly! Have a look at Episode 3 to see where he rode 13kms to work after a few weeks on the board.

I rang Evolve today and was going to order the GT Carbon 2 in 1 but when I was told I had to pay the postage I changed my mind. I know it is only $30 but I was about to spend over $2000. Other business will post free if you spend over $100. So anyway I will wait and try and find another brand of E skate board.

Hey TechForYou. Quite a few people carry them but if they get heavy we have had people pull them along (in AT config) by the front truck (back wheels rolling along on the ground). If you do a search online, there are a number of other suggestions. Might be a good topic for a future video!

Yep, that's correct. Should qualify, that method works with the AT config. With the street wheels, some people pull it along with the front wheels on the ground instead. Haha, we meant for our channel. Always interested in suggestions for videos people would like to see! Good luck with the review. Let us know when it's up.
