So many of the tips you're offering are also aplicable to bikes - rightfully so. Thank you for making the time... gotta work on my foot break (don't do that on a motor bike, haha).

59 years old formerly a onewheel XR rider, just got an eovan silo, great tips - especially about people and the unexpected- that was the only time i ate it on the trail with a couple of elderly ladies on a walk that did not know to go, stop or back away, i came off the board on the concrete to avoid crashing into them, hit the sidewalk messed up my left shoulder (nothing broken) but it took a couple years to be back to 100%. Next brilliant idea is to try electric skateboarding 😅

I've just recently got myself a bamboo board which has been a new experience comming from electric scooters and electric unicycles. You have some really good tips here. I especially like the one where you are talking about predicting all types of scenarios to mentally prepare yourself for when things do go wrong. It has helped me so many times in the past. Great video

5:00 couldn't agree more. always anticipate that someone (or a car) is just gonna walk out. Because they see you coming and think "its just a guy riding a skateboard=going slow" but they dont realize that you're going pretty quick. So yeah, just be ready to slow down or stop. Hoping for the GTRB series 2 review? Will it be worth upgrading my tired GTRB? Doesn't look like it?

Was waiting for a review of the new GTR from you man, hope you make it! I just got a call back today from Evolve where I asked for a new GTR Bamboo deck.. 3-4 months ago, they finally had one in stock for 240EUR. Tbh I think im done with Bamboo boards. Im a 90-100KG rider all year round and I broke 2 GTR Bamboo decks from the back coming off a small curb, feels like the boards get brittle during winter storage imo, they really need to look into it as my 5-6 year old Meepo v2 still has never had an issue with a deck break running same routes.. Also they finally found the reason I was killing 1 motor per 1 week.. killed about 5-6 motors and usually wasn´t a big deal for me until the last ones started to literally die within a week of riding in the summer on street setup. Finally had enough so my local store sent it over to Germany.. where they found my motor controller was causing this (hopefully as I havent got the board back). All of this back and fourth has meant I have not been able to ride almost at all the entire 2022 season... which really sucked. Now they released a new s2 GTR but im pretty sure im just gonna get the Hadean Carbon instead as the price difference is minimal but the performance difference should be still noticable even with the new motors and battery the GTR s2 has. Got to test the Hadean a month ago for a few minutes and I was sold almost instantly.. the acceleration on the old GTR was imo insanely fun.. the Hadean is like 4x that LOL.. fucking bananas :D and then there is that huge range.. better motors so they dont heat up and so on.

Sage advice! Pad up! The tripple eight exoskin pads are great, been wearing them for several rides now, break in well, comfortable, range of motion, already saved me from elbow swell and rash. Helmet, elbow, knee, hand gear, lights a must. Take it slow in a parking lot, not out on the road first day. You'll wish u had pads; not if you crash but when. Also working on an esk8 board CAD collapsible workbench, basically two verticals that are used to hold the board vertical or horizontal (from the side axis) Vertical slot ~3in wide and horizontal plane ~10in. wide. Let me know if interested and can send CAD, you'll have to find a CNC shop though unless lucky enough to have one :-) Thank you btw!

I just got a Eovan GTO Silo. 1st E-board. I've used regular boards for almost 40 years. Used to skate vert in the late 80's. I'm lucky I already have motocross gear so thats what I wear on E board. Might be overkill but when you're over 50, you don't heal very fast. I won't get on my board without my gear on. Same with motorcycles.

It depends on how you're riding when it comes to riding with protection... If you're cruising around and just carving it up, a helmet might but more than enough.... If you're commuting to work or school on one of these and riding at 30kp/h (20mp/h) or higher, get some gear on and when you do inevitably crash, sliding out of a crash is way better then anything else

Lol I just got the hadean coming from the gtr1 and I flew off going 40kmh and had no protection, hit the concrete but I guess luckily I was going faster cus all that happened was major scrapes, no broken bones 👍. Definitely need discreet kneepads and maybe shoulder pads but helmets are so inconvenient for me. Been using my gtr as a daily for over a year. More important than protection is being aware of your surroundings and just ride at a safe speed.

One of my friends is in the market for his first board. My advice was to stay well clear of avoid evolve as they're unsafe and downright dangerous. That's before Evolves history of not honouring warranties and putting profit before rider safety. I told him to not cheap out on safety equipment, full face and open face hemlets and if he's not comfortable with using elbow and knee pads. Get motorbike kevlar armour clothing. I'll be teaching him to ride at night on quiet streets when he's ready so he can learn how to ride safely and handle a rig.

Hey man, as a fan can I genuinely ask what's going on with your channel. You and Ricky gave this impression that you were aiming to be honest and reliable source for true eskate reviews. But this makes it seems like you have sold out to evolve and your yet to explain to the community truth about your venture with Rickie that went horribly wrong. Come on you own the subs a honest, update dude. I get it you were making nice money from the popularity of the channel when it was doing well. You will never get there again unless you return to the community with the truth.

a.e.r had a falling out w evolve it seems and now back at it for a new bmw? If I read between the lines. This is an open forum and sad that those will silence others who have a differing view or opinion, unless they crossed the line which is not good. More context would be helpful, however. If you compare evolve w other boards, like b-one titan x etc., they are much more expensive when looking at what you get or cost/benefit. I appreciate both your channels though and thank you for the content and opinions, have learned a lot from you.
