Wow, what a testimony! You are always a encouragement to me Tessie. I hardly ever comment but thought to myself, today is the day. I'm almost 72, grew up poor & went hungry at times. That matters not because the one thing that was great in my life was my Christian parents. They taught me to be content with whatever I had. I learned to trust the Lord in all things. It's not always easy but he's never failed me yet. He brought me the love of my life & a godly man. We just celebrated our 50th anniversary on 7/6. I lost my dad suddenly in 1990 at age 63 & my mom passed with dementia & cancer in 2016 at age 85. I had the great honor to care for her at her home the last two years of her life. I had promised her that I'd never put her in a nursing home. I thank God I was still physically able to keep that promise. We also lost our only son at the age of 47 in 2018. That was so hard on us. I too know that this world is not my home. I know the Lord will come soon to take us all home. I look forward to meeting you & seeing my parents & son here. Much love from Texas sweet sster in Christ! Praying for you. ❤

We went from having more than enough money to purposely living on a low income. We bought a house for cash so we would not have a mortgage. We are debt free. Low income is so much more relaxing! No more running all day. Now we have the luxury to enjoy life. I work as a substitute teacher and create my own schedule. If there is something we need or want I just work a couple more days. I have my summers off a winter break and a spring break. We now have our home and are building our homestead. It is a slow process but we are enjoying it! God lead us to where we are. We are very blessed! It is definitely not a curse! Slowly we are becoming more self sufficient! I watch your channel Tessie to get more ideas I can implement. Like you we bought a livable fixer upper too. Ours actually is a 1940 Miner Cabin! But it has been sided and sheet rocked so you can't tell except for when you look into the space under the stairs. It feels so good not to worry about money anymore! We feel free for the first time. We just got our drivers license changed over and now we can get our fishing license and some cheap poles! We have so many places to fish in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Your words are speaking deep this morning. I have often wished to "Go Home". I've lost my parents and recently my sister. I was very close with my Sister. She was my Rock and I feel very lost without her... ( The stumbling through life now ) couldn't have hit harder. I have struggled with Anxiety and depression all my life ( out on my own at age 15 and married ) but always managed to pick myself up off the floor. I had kids that needed me and couldn't let them down. Now that I'm 62 its a lot harder to pick yourself up off the floor. Time is shorter now and it makes it harder to dream. I draw closer to the Lord and " Stumble" through. Its nice to know I wasn't the only one that had felt this way a time or two in life.....Thank you for sharing! May God continue to Bless you and guide you.

Hi Tessie! Thank you so much for this video! This was in due season form me! I have been struggling with so many things. Overwhelmed not only with life but dealing with my mom's dementia. Her cares, and life and my health struggles. Trying to keep up with work, an KZbin, and the homestead and all the things have been overwhelming. Instead of saying "Why me God"> You reminded me that not all of us have an easy life, and this life is not our home. I too had a very difficult life, and I appreciate your honesty~. I have touched on my years of health struggles in my videos, and how I use food to heal. It has not always been easy being an encourager, and caregiver to others, and then having my own life fall apart. So what a blessing and helpful to get encouragement from others that understand! So, for this I really thank you! This was sooooo needed today! I appreciate you, Tessie! I adore you and our community! You are beautiful and so very loved!

I lost my dad of suicide when I was 14. I lost my stepdad two years ago, my brother eight years ago and my mom three months ago. I lost another cousin yesterday. All in total within a two year span, I've lost close to 15 family members. My Auntie explained that God is returning soon. My Auntie is a Christian lady and was put in our family by marriage for a reason. She's been here for me since I've no longer have any immediate family. I'm trying to understand God's plan in all of this. 😢

Tessie, bless you. My husband , of 47 years, and I both have had roads less traveled since childhood, and as a married couple we've have had to start over 3 times and each time we learned lessons of survival, what's important and that staying connected to Nature and God will keep you grounded enough to survive. Each time our gardens were more abundant, our pantry was filled better as I learned out of necessity to can more things and instead of spending savings on trips etc., we bought more land and increased our gardens of veggies, flowers and Herbs. I can't remember the last time I bought bread, eggs, veggies or beef from a store which gives one a sense of accomplishment and peace, which brings happiness. You too have learned much from the hard times and those lessons are gifts and you are doing with those gifts just what you are called to...sharing them. Blessings to you and yours❤

I am working on relinquishing all my teacher supplies this fall. I am giving up on the dream of going back into teaching. Before the car accident that ultimately caused my retirement, I had this dream, that didn't feel like a dream, it was real. In it I was walking by a deep creek or slow-moving river near a waterfall. I could see the fish through the clear water, I felt the mist of the nearby waterfall and the lushness of the thick green grass on my bare feet. I felt that someone was telling me to lay down and rest. It was so relaxing that I thought I had died. I could not shake the feeling that I was supposed to stop teaching and retire, that it was time to rest. It was probably less than a month later that I was in a very bad car accident. It took me another year of pushing through the pain to realize it was time to quit teaching. I took 5 years off from working. Last year, I tried to go back to work, and I caught Covid, which made me resign. I don't know what I am supposed to do with the rest of my life, but evidentially it is not teaching any more. I now feel that he will not give me a new vision, a new purpose, until I truly let all the teaching supplies go. Why do I keep them? They are financial security that I have the materials to go back and teach should I need the money. I am letting go, and it feels good. Accepting that God has me and like the birds, I don't have to panic over all the waves in this ocean of turmoil. I just have to relax, stretch back and float, knowing that God will calm the seas around me or give me the power to overcome the waves that threaten to rob me of my peace. I love your joy and patience and reflection with a sense of peace. Rain must fall on us all.

Hello Tessie! I have enjoyed your videos so much and I believe youre a beautiful person and God is working through you to help so many people! We are all human but God gives us strength , peace, understandin and guidance. My family and I have been through many difficult things also but God has brought us through every single one and has taught me to let go and allow him to handle things because he knows things we dont know and only allows things for our good. ( All things work together for good to those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose!) So please continue to bring us the good news and know that you are in my prayers everyday! ❤

I've been learning some lessons about God's plans/dreams vs. my own, too. You're right-His ways are best, even when they're hard. You're such a source of encouragement, joy, and peace, Tessie. We're all so thankful for you!

Tessie, I know it's been a while. I have been busy with life here but always remembering you here!! My husband and I may be moving 40 mins from where we currently live in a tiny town where the Mennonite community tends to live. If it all unfolds, we will be living by our friends who we use to go to the Mennonite church with there. Let's see what the Lord has in store for us! Another thing is.. if we get this house, We will not have a mortgage!!!
