I use mensuration cup and it's not painful at all and very cheap if you compare it with pads . She is inserting tampon in a wrong way ,if inserted correctly you won't even feel anything . Before using these things watch tutorials and video of other youtubers just don't rely upon one youtuber And if you still don't want to use tampons just go for a period panty

I'm too used tampons first time today , I swear . You do some mistake I guess while inserting . First squat a little and try to relax your mind then pushed while aiming lower back because if you see diagram of female reproductive part you'll see that Virginia is not that straight pipe thing . Slowly push that tampons don't be rush . Your virgina was already lubricants or smoothly while you're on your period so it's easily goes inside without much pain .

Point no 1 , you maybe be pushing the tampon in wrong direction that's one reason it hurts ,2 your flow was not heavy the tampon can't go in properly because the fibres on the tampon rub against your vaginal walls which causes pain . You have to use applicator tampon first time because it can slide through your vagina has it has its very smooth .
