Interesting design. Because it's such a large cat, the beam allows the aft cockpit not to have to be full width. That allows those berths in each of the aft staterooms to be tucked in under the cockpit and frees up the hulls for the very large heads and dressing areas. Similar principle forward. Due to the length of the boat, they held back the salon and used some of the bridge deck to be able to tuck the forward stateroom berths underneath (plus that large forward locker, which could be a crew quarters). Just shows what you can get away with having a few more feet of length and beam. Works great for the charter layout. For a family cruising version of this boat, want to see a larger salon relative to a 50 foot boat, but that would involve structural design changes. This is definitely a single purpose boat and it looks like it serves that purpose well.

One of the better walk-throughs of the 500 I've seen. Thank you for posting it.

First, the boat is impeccably cared for. The bridgedeck interior design is lovely. Someone really loves this boat. But... • Imagine having to clean five heads... _and_ a galley... • narrow side decks, • no bulwark, • no grab rails, • nebulous life lines? • Low clearance below the bridgedeck... For blue water sailing: • no water maker • no solar power While it might not take much to do so, this vessel is _not_ set up for blue water cruising. At this price, I'd want at least lithium, solar, dual alternators, water maker, etc. And I'd go nuts if I had to hear that bridge deck slap every hour of the day even on calm days. This boat is lovely, but it is a _not_ for me.

First Cat on your channel that I kinda like Love the individual cabins all with large beds and private head. Really cool on a boat that size

That’s a pretty nice boat, a little dated on the interior but, that’s to be expected. And an interior like that is very practical for a charter boat. The weight is less than I was expecting, be interesting to see how she sailed!? Thanks for sharing. 😎🏖🌴☀️🇦🇺

A beautiful boat, but i saw no mention of any laundry facility, though that probably wouldn't be an issue for a charter operation, and if she were to be placed into private live aboard service. one of the side utility areas could be used. Thanks for presenting this cat to us.

I would need rails on those bunks, I roll around alot.

Yes, rolling out of one of those is a long and bumpy ride down to the floor.

When you do a review of a cat you should always tell the people the height of the bridge deck above the water. Clearly that one has very little clearance and will sound like drums being played when even small waves are about

That is a very nice boat. The layout makes me think is was designed to be a rental boat. Do you think so as well? The only part that I did not like at all was the dodger. It reminds me of those small wind shields the English called a wind screen on their little sports cars. Which seemed to be worthless. I think the cockpit was very well proportioned. And as you said you could live aboard and so could I. So what does a boat of this caliber cost? Thanks.

Very nice catamaran. I wonder how it sails. The interior is a bit dated and cramped - but not bad.

Hey Jordan. I have a question about the rigging. At 3:45 you do a view up the mast. I notice that there are only spreaders on the port side of the mast. I've never seen a boat before that had spreaders on only one side. Could you or someone explain why that is? Thanks.

No hanging closets whatsoever and it has really confined space like submarine.
@Johnsouthshore3 жыл бұрын
Yes there were.. I saw at least 3.. he just missed two behind doors to stateroom and there was one on the port side. As for bring like a submarine? Most catamarans are set up like this one.
@paulsmith82123 жыл бұрын
Yes , The interior reminds me of a sub . A tad claustrophobic for me . If your height is less than 6’ , this would be a little more comfortable for you. I’ll skip this one , thank you.

Cats always have too many heads imo. Just more thru hulls and a lot more maintenance. Cool boat though. Saloon and cockpit are great

Looked like no hull insulation, hot, cold, condensation and noicy... Also I could not see much ventilation. I guess in a stable and dry climate....

Does anybody sail a catamaran in a dry climate? 🤣
@mountainmandale15873 жыл бұрын
For that much, I can afford to travel the world on a private plane. I know it defeats the purpose, but you should stick to boat's that your viewers can hope to actually own. Still, a beautiful vessel!
