Our boat has the perfect layout. This boat not so much. Just forward of the mast has a double birth on port and two single births on the starboard side....sea births you can sleep in any sea condition. Aft cabin has a queen with bulkheads on both sides for half the length of the bed making it a sea birth too. We can sleep 7 on our boat very comfortably in any sea state. Our boat is same size too. This boat you can only sleep 3 comfortably at sea. You will fall off the aft cabin bed. The forward cabin is too far forward and will mess with your stomach going up and down. The starboard side is ok but will need lee cloths for a starboard tack. One of the seats in the solon can work too. Those overhead lockers are terrible. Everything will fall out if you open it at sea if it's the high side. Totally nuts. This boat was not designed for extended sea travels. Looks like a dock queen boat to me.

If you can only get 7.5 knots with two 80 hp engines at 3200 rpms then it weights a lot more than 45,000 lbs. My Whitby 55 with one 125 hp engine running only 2,200 rpms (out of 3,600 max) will get me 7 knots and we weight 60,000 lbs. It is a beautiful boat though. I am curious how heavy the keel is. Is it bolt on or encapsulated? Is it fin or full keel? How about the Rudder? Spade or skeg hung?

The outside of the boat looks great, pretty nice design, but the inside is where you can tell it was home built with plywood cabinet doors and other small tells like no access to the freezer without lifting the stairs. No black tank, small fresh water tank, tiny fuel tanks. It is a crying shame that health issues kept this man from sailing her after five years of fulltime work.

it's a piece of art , but a maintenance nightmare . i had an choy lee 43 pilothouse which looked remarkable similar and there was hardly any wood on it but still 2 weeks work every spring with 2 persons ! it was kind of nice , me and my wife working away but when she passed , i found it sad and boring and sold the boat .

Is there a central heating system for polar trips? What would be the price for this boat?...

"TAKE YOU ANYWHERE" ??? Of course not! It's a fiberglass sailboat eh? not aluminium or steel Go anywhere means go to the arctic or antartica, you will definetly approach ice... Fiberglass is not gonna be the best option for sailing extreme latitudes..... You gotta change the title to something else! Good content btw!

Nauticats have the reputation of being built like tanks. Very reputable vessels of Finnish design.

I grew up (ages 5-10) sailing all over on a Corsair F-27. My parents, and our family of 5, sailed Puget sound and desolation sound. We were able to live aboard this boat as two adults and 3 kids for many weeks at a time comfortably and seeing interior shots of this is amazing nostalgia!

Normally I like the rear cockpit but now after watching lots of videos I’m leaning towards the center cockpit because of waves breaking on the back of boats in high seas. Seems a bit more safe and better visibility.
@FranklinGray23 сағат бұрын
When at sea, you will like the center cockpit better. When on anchor, you will like the aft cockpit with open transom better. I had both.

Nice boat,short on electronics,paper charts is a good hint shore power 220v heater,diesel heat underway,no mention of a/c , personally it’s pricey for 34 yr old boat.
