Alex, don’t overthink the idea of having a second child. Based on my experience, my two sons are six years apart because I hesitated for a long time before deciding to have another child. Now, I wish I hadn’t waited so long and that they were closer in age. The love you have for your children isn’t divided; it actually multiplies. Trust me, you don’t need to worry about not being able to give your oldest enough love and attention because you absolutely will. The gift of having siblings is truly beautiful, and they will have each other long after you are gone. Plus, their children will enjoy the joy of cousins and extended family as they grow up.

It’s definitely a weird mix of emotions when you’re expecting your second. You kind of go through a mourning of the family you have and your baby not being the baby anymore, but are so excited for the family that’s being built. I think it’s totally normal to question and be conflicted about having more, but in my experience nothing is sweeter than watching your babies love each other. Mine were both born on 7/8 with a 2 year gap and were pretty sure were 2 and done.

I had my daughter a year and a half ago. I’ve always wanted 2 but I go back and forth all the time because I feel bad I’ll have to split my attention. It’s a very real internal conflict and I’m glad you brought it up ❤ We also had a very scary pregnancy with preeclampsia so my next will be considered high risk.. so much goes into the consideration of having more children. You will grieve losing 1 on 1 time with your first. I sobbed like a baby towards the end of pregnancy #2 because I felt guilty that a new baby was going to require so much of my energy and attention. But you adapt. My daughter is 3 1/2 and my son will be 1 on January 13th. The bond they already have though, worth every second. I swear, our 2nd is doing things faster than our first did, but baby #2 has a sibling they are watching do everything 😊 I LOVE life with 2. Our son is our rainbow baby 🌈💙

I have 5 brothers and there were times I wished I was an only child lol but I am thankful to have siblings because yes, I am the only girl and me and my mom are besties as well but it really breaks my heart to think if I were the only child and then the time comes when mom mom is no longer around and I have no-one it's like ugh. I think having siblings would so help big time when the time comes that our parents are no longer around. Maybe that is something to consider, unfortunately we all will not be around forever so isn't best to have someone to grieve with?

Alex I’m not sure if anyone else mentioned this but since you used the cutting board to cut the chicken on you can not use that board for ANYTHING ELSE because there’s a risk of cross contamination now. You can use it again but only for chicken now. There is a cutting board cleaner and conditioner that you can get off of Amazon that will clean it and keep them looking good but please don’t use that board to cut anything other than chicken. The risk of food poisoning is pretty high. I love you Sis!!!

My friend use to think like that and now she doesn’t even like to remember that talk about her second child. It’s understandable but you will know when you are ready. Also sidenote, the reason why so many people have trouble doing copies of the TikTok girlies hairstyles I notice not to offend anybody, but some of the girls’s hair is very very porous/damaged and it just cooperates more with certain manipulated ways and or their texture is more course or dry. I don’t know if that makes sense, but it is true. It’s more less the texture people can manipulate the hair better, etc.. I hope that explains a little bit at least lol
