She is such a natural teacher, thank you so much, I enjoy your videos. I am studying scots Gaelic and Irish and I have not even a slightest problem with their sounds and very little problems with spelling, but Welsh really throws me off. Despite her being so good I cannot get even remotely closer to a correct pronunciation. What a contrast! Both being celtic languages, but so different. I am very happy though that Welsh is doing pretty good, is taught in schools, especially medium schools and is used widely. Tapadh leibh!

This video inspired me to start learning Welsh. I had never heard the language before and I became immediately fascinated by it. I already have bought two books, Teach Yourself and also Essential Grammar. I am also using the "say it in welsh" app and am trying to find as many resources as possible. Are you going to offer transcripts and exercises like the other channels do? And, do any of you give private on-line lessons? Please put out more videos. This is a fascinating language and I can't wait to learn it! Thank you---Sean

Hello Sean! We're really happy that we've inspired you to start discovering a new language! 😃 For now, as long as Easy Welsh doesn't have their own channel, we'll not offer any transcripts or exercises. But! We work really hard to provide as much Easy Welsh content as possible so stay updated! New episodes will be soon on this channel! 😊

LL in Welsh sounds more like a soft S sound, and the RH is easy, one just has to say it as if the H was before the R, like, hrad, instead of rhad, and the R sound should be very soft - it’s kinda similar to a certain R sound in Brazilian Portuguese! The CH should be pronounced softly, close to a normal H sound - some ppl have a hard CH, most younger speakers of Welsh use a softer CH! I use a very soft CH, like the soft CH in Dutch! The Rs should always be soft in all languages, not rolled - I always use soft normal Rs in the other languages I know / learn!

There should also be Easy channels for Welsh / Breton / Cornish / Manx / Irish / Scottish Gaelic - I am trying to learn all 6 Celtic languages, and it’s not easy to find resources for most of them! And also, for the less known Germanic languages, like Faroese / Icelandic / Gothic / Old Norse / Norn / Old English etc and Limburgish and the West-Vlaamse / Oost-Vlaamse Dutch-based languages and Luxembourgish / Low Dietsch / Ripuarian etc and the three Frisian languages (West Frisian / North Frisian / East Frisian) and the other German-based languages and Gallo / Galician / Guernsey and the 4 French-based languages spoken in Belgium and Occitan and Aranese etc and all Italian-based languages like Venetian / Sicilian / Neapolitan etc and Slovenian, they all should have an Easy yt! I am trying to learn all these languages - they are very pretty languages, so they should be included in language related videos and also on lists of recommended languages etc!

Very nicely paced, and well done. Your patience and your affection for your language are both apparent. I appreciate the clarity untangling the sounds that are relatively hard for and are surprising to those of us that didn't know a word of Welsh before viewing your video. For example: Ll- sound. Wicked:)

I highly recommend learning Welsh and Norse and Icelandic and Dutch and Norwegian and Gothic which are 6 of the prettiest languages ever created, as gorgeous and refined and poetic as English, as they are way too pretty not to know - Welsh sounds a lot like Norse & Dutch, and these languages have real gorgeous sound patterns!

A great video. 🤩 For me the most complicated sounds have been: 'll' and 'rh' Maybe later you can make a video of just these sounds. Keep it up! 💪
