Thank you for explaining this to everyone. This is very important! My life literally depends on it. There are allot of people that are being stalked under this program. Some are ending their lives because of it. I myself will never do that. I'm fighting for the people we have lost, and the people still going through this.

She is surveillance as she gives the interview. Speak now if this is moral. Do you feel like a surveillance target; as you see do they follow her home in her bathroom. Do you know what are the qualifications of surveillance? After Snowden everything was blown cause he opened eyes. They need an ethics committee having a cop watch you over night is creepy. Putting them into law is the first you are hitting gold. A life saver

This is an intelligent discussion of a very dangerous subject. I personally believe this thing we call government is keeping very close tabs (individual master file) on the general populous in order to pinpoint Americans that are a threat to the system at large.

Why is no one addressing the concern that any collection of data without a warrant is unconstitutional irregardless of whether or not the target is a citizen or a legal resident? The 4th amendment is a restriction on government, not a protection limited to citizens.
@superbroadcaster7 жыл бұрын
Biologist19681 The government is obviously violating people's privacy, it's more a concern that they are circumventing the 4th amendment and basically amending that amendment to do what they want

Have you ever check the medical issues that aroused from surveillance. If you were surveillance during the program do you feel disrupted or do you contact after the show. Clapper vs amnesty was real

no one on this panel is interested in freedom.

Jonathan Schattke I'd disagree they seem very concerned about freedom and constitutional law
@JonathanSchattke7 жыл бұрын
Every person on the panel thinks the government should be able to examine communications which are not to the government. This is "not being secure" in communications... that is, it breaks the spirit of the 4th amendment, which was penned in an era when communications had to be written. So, you are quite simply _wrong_ - the position of constitutionality is unwavering: no one may intercept anyone's communications without a warrant. The position of _freedom_ is even stronger: search warrants are aggression; therefore no one may EVER intercept someone else's communications.
@superbroadcaster7 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Schattke I'd say that a warrant is unconstitutional isn't very applicable to even the 20th century espionage model that has been happening vs todays. The role of government is to protect it's people from being harmed, and when it breaks their rights in that pursuit that's going too far. I don't want my phone records to be accessed by the government but if they obtain a warrant under the suspicion that I've done something wrong then that's okay and I can prove I'm being law abiding and the government should drop the info they collected. The current espionage model is very trigger happy and storing everyone's data just in case. It needs to be far more toned down to having a damn good reason aside from "just because", and "they said bad things about us" to investigate anyone, not just an American citizen. They should have prosecuting power but be anxious about using it because citizens should be comfortable in dealing with government anything.

Jonathan Schattke There are panelists that were specifically stating that a warrant should be needed to conduct data processing. They get the constitution.
@renemarin33104 жыл бұрын
I agree, John If you knew that the fourth amendment never participated. They claim to have warrants but I know it's all fake and once they find a statuary why not move it to common courts.
