@@shimmymorris1 I started a store withg Redbubble a year ago and they blocked my content, as I wasnt an experienced seller.. so my uploads were inconsisten and I deleted few uploads myself, because I was just introducing myself to their upload system and trying to upload the perfect size, each product has different size so its quite too much editing work... more complicated than uploading one video that takes few minutes. probably they blocked the profile because of some copyright, or something like that ..thye send an email about it. ...but I wasnt copying anybody just trying to do various ideas.... as begginer its normal if you are just looking for ideas in your own mind, doing things with text or without text... because there are different topics for t-shirts, and different topics for animals etc. so its obvious at beginning you can not be the best seller....if they have 65 types of products, you are just trying to understand their system. Why they dont make "upload editing" by editors...who approve the content, why they block the seller because they dont like one picture. It just shows how thye have no respect for any content creator and their time with the website. If thye would at least explain the specific problem, one could understand.....their explaination is very general and quite clueless. Its like throwing a thourist from a bus, because he forgot the proper deodorant spray at home... they dont even communicate with you... to ecxplain the real problem. Its just luck if the redbubble doesnt kick you out, after several years of hard work. because the upload system takes a lot of work and editing.....you have to specifically edit every t-sghirt every pillow every bag etc. because each of them has different size. its not like you upload a video or photo to a stock website and you edsit it for few minutes.

AI is becoming the biggest online scam in e-commerce. How many videos have been posted to KZbin promoting the idea that all you need to do is plug a few words into an image generator, then take the output and put it on a T-Shirt and before you know it, you'll be making $10,381 a month. I understand why you, in a somewhat ambiguous way, try to provide positive feedback on Joshua video creation. On the other hand, it means nothing how well a video is made and presented. 'Authenticity' is the keyword here; why a content creator lies, there is no more to be said. You can’t be a good guy on one hand and not on the other. It is either you're straightforward in all your content or you're not. The sadness in this, one example, is filled with too many other content creators who are not upfront. What it means, in most cases, is that too many KZbin content creators are more concerned about subscriber numbers and getting paid, rather than having the integrity of just being honest. Sadly, too often, many would rather sell their souls to the devil for rankings. And with Joshua’s Print On Demand video you’re being too kind. Trust is one of the most important relationships one can have with family, friends, and social media. And anyone who lies can’t be trusted. Trust is one of the basic foundations that holds everything together. Whereby, Joshua may had good attendance from his previous videos, but it only takes one lie to distrust everything his has produced.😎

You know, I really value your effort to elevate this topic. However, what bothers me is the trend I've noticed lately-countless videos targeting just one individual. It raises skepticism for me because there are plenty of others producing similar content without facing the same scrutiny. It's odd, isn't it? Makes me wonder if it's solely about the views. I'm not saying that's what's happening here because you've called out some others as well. And I definitely am still going to watch your content because I appreciate you speaking the truth to your audience, but I have to say it's just a weird trend that's been going on, on other channels.
@shimmymorris16 ай бұрын
what's the trend?
@pat40056 ай бұрын
Well, that is because, first of all, a channel that is doing the exposé about a weasely POD guru has to have watched all of the videos of those gurus until the end, which is a gigantic amount of hours! Then to make each expose video, showing proof of their inconsistencies and lies, along with the commentary by the expose channel, also requires a gigantic amount of hours per video! And many days of research! A KZbinr doing expose video must be very careful about what they say, so as to not get in trouble from the one they are exposing or KZbin may take down their video or even cancel their channel! So it is NOT fast, simple or easy to do many expose videos, it takes a LOT of time and effort doing research and editing each video. The "trend" you may be seeing, is possibly also due to the expose channels creators only keep tabs on the larger, well-known POD "gurus", whose channels have a huge amount of subs because that would only make sense from a limited time investment standpoint. I can tell you must not make video for a competitive market, otherwise you would already know this!

I really have to side eye folks who are so seriously scammed. This so called guru has a scammy vibe but you need discernment to see it. Discernment and common sense will save you a lot of headaches when dealing with these snake oil types.

Thank you for this!! I fell victim to this same issue. When I tried opening my own POD shop using their methods, I failed terribly 😅 This exposé was not only helpful but just unintentionally hilarious 😂

new fan here :) it is actually NOT ok/or legal to just slap a kittl template on a pod product on etsy because you are supposed to design your own design, so just using a template without any changes like he advises is not allowed on etsy, as for the beautiful "keep on growing" mushroom design of his own- no words 😀

Thanks for watching!! IKR!!! That mushroom design was something else!

The thing that’s wrong comes down to one word: transparency, or rather the lack of it. 😬

So refreshing to see someone speaking the truth. In POD you typically have three types of people. There are the “GET RICH QUICK LIKE ME AND HERES HOW!” KZbinrs, then all the haters in the comments, and then the people like me who are just trying to legit figure out if this is a good opportunity. Thank you for riding that middle ground and giving such a good and honest understanding of the business.
@nicolamclennan67936 ай бұрын
Yes someone real, honest and so refreshing (and British like myself)!. I think your future ideas on sellers who claim facts that are blatantly obvious to business sellers like yourself. First time on your channel and an easy subscriber, that's rare for me, I'm off to see more 👍.

He is quite simply a trend hijacker. He finds a specific topic for a video, searches keywords, and then creates the script with as many sales buzzwords as he can.

I pretty much don't watch the "guru" videos anymore. I go straight into the "what's wrong" with the process section and try to piece things together from there. It's a bit cringy to watch others getting exposed like that, but I appreciate your work, I've learned a lot.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I deleted all of my POD items (most had never sold anyway) after a disastrous experience with Printify. I managed to sell 2 Solar Eclipsd water bottles to a really great customer. After telling me BS for a week that it hadn’t shipped due to poor quality of the printing requiring reprinting, they notified me the printer was out of stock until 4 days after the eclipse! I had long concluded that the majority of KZbin videos on selling on Etsy are the actual money-makers, not the products they are selling in their 6-figure-a-year shops. ❤ Shirley

glad you liked it! I'm sorry that happened to you, it's a real shame because POD can be such a rewarding business! It's a shame when KZbinrs don't give the realistic view because then people get into the business with all the wrong expectations

The thing that annoys me the most is....all these people say I earned £10K last month (or another random figure). They show the gross sales screen but never show the net figure after all costs. There is a huge difference between the 2 and is very misleading.

This video pippednup in my feed at THE right time. I have a marketing company that i started 13 years ago and I've also launched 2 Etsy stores over the paat 5 years. Lately, I've been itching to add something else to the line up and POD has been in the back of my mind. After seeing this, and reading the cmments, I think I'm good. Back to the drawing board!! Lol

Well done for the video, you have a new subscriber. I detest all the lies you find on KZbin about POD, Etsy, Amazon etc. they are all valid methods to make money but they all require lots of hard work and determination. They won't make you rich in a month. I have watched some of these videos and even followed some of the advice BUT all the products I sold on my POD Etsy shop were my own ideas when I followed my own instinct rather than some paid tools. I don't want to find what is selling and copy other people's ideas. 1000s of other people are doing exactly the same.

I love this video! As a beginner since 2020, I've learned the truth and wasted money on pointless courses. I made slightly under $700 on Etsy in 2023 after deducting fees and promotion after two years of no sales. The bright side for me is learning I love design, so I quit my hated career to pursue a career in design.

I had a friend last year who I mentioned I was struggling to make ends meet working for Rideshare, wasn’t a complaint, I was just trying to explain my budget….she pestered me for months about starting a side hustle like on demand printing. Claimed to be keeping me accountable because people like this KZbinr exist. They make it look so easy to start a business but as an entrepreneur that should have been a 🚩I spent months and hundreds of dollars neglecting my family and responsibilities trying to keep up with launching new designs every single day to try to keep up with KZbinrs pushing that this was a feasible thing. I made 100s of designs and sold $0

My 9 to 5 is in e-commerce and I deal with everything website related, emails, SMS, mobile app, analytics, SEO, ads, etc and these videos selling this quick and easy dreams to random people really upset me. E-commerce is all about long-term growth and building a brand (not just selling a product). It takes years to get a very profitable brand and to give TRUE value to customers

I ran across this youtuber, tim koa or moa or somthing like that. A few videos about how he made THOUSAND of dollars selling stickers on etsy, but his math doesnt add up, never shows his store, hardly has any social media presence outside of youtube. So its obviously a lie, but he poped up again and again. This type of people are everywhere scaming people into buying their courses or ebooks. Makes me mad tbh

Thank you so much for being transparent. These people prey on people who are desperate to make money (which i was at one point). They made it sound easy and I wasted many hours make websites and designs and trying to promote it only for it to blow up in my face over and over again. They really dont talk about trouble shooting. And even tho im still broke 😅 at least now im wise to the ruse

@@shimmymorris1 Your most welcome, I had people teach me when I started my shop. They would say you can't do this because it's an infringement, one day she was showing her orders of samples from different printers on Printify and she opened the bag's and they were actual VERY MUCH INFRINGEMENT"S yet she's telling us no do not do this, she would never reveal her shop name and I found someone that sent me a screenshot of her shop and it's full of infringements and she does videos on here PAID videos all over, makes you stop and go 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I finally unsubscribed from her page, I don't wanna fund someone that's a fraud! I appreciate you replying, keep up the amazing work🥰Sincerely, April
