Quran Memorization External tips. 1.no distractions during memorization and concentration is must 2.Take photo of word in mind and visualize bcz ...if u will not visualize that how next ayah will start or what is in middle or last or anywhere so u can get stuck .. being fluent is not enough.. u should know what u r reading and what is next .. 3.Do not just keep reading by seeing after memorizing first u should push and check ur self that do u have know that part in mind or not ..no matter if u cannot recite it first or second or third time or no matter how many time but keep trying 4.Memorize loudly ..so u r RECITING LISTENING and SEEING at the same time 5.Have same mushaf always i.e 15 lines or 16 lines etc 6.Break Longer Ayah ..memorize those in small parts then after memorizing in steps then go for the complete ayah.. 7.Keep All these steps and steps from previous video(external tips...go watch that video) in mind ALSO REVIEW AND RIVISION AFTER MEMORIZATION IS SOOO SO IMPORTANT PZ KEEP REVISING AND REVIEWING AND ALL PREVOIUS AND ALSO NEW MEMORIZATIONS...u should do wudu....U can watch both parts by this channel ..I I left somethung so Iam sorry but I tried tl summarize it specially for those who are in rush or in hurry...Keep me in ur duas..ur sister in ISLAM :AMMAT Ul QUDOOS From BADIN PAKISTAN ...there is zabar on both Alifin my name like Ammat Al butI write it as Ammat Ul.... One of my best methods and my favorite that kept me going is that after you have memorized maybe 1,2,3 or even 5 pages a day ,wake up for tahajuud and say i will recite what i memorized to our KING,ALLAH (SW) and beautify your voice .try it out you will see and pray to Allah that Quran becomes easy for you to memorize it by the will of Allah. Use this process, but let's say you want to read 10 pages in 1 day, after 1 hour, spend 30 minutes or longer repeating the pages you have read to learn better. Then go to sleep listening to what you know (very optional) and then wake up, pray tahajud and Fajr, and then read what you learned before again and again. This is how one of my friends memorised the Quran in 2 months.

Brother I can learn a page in a short time 20-30 minutes without a problem biidhnillah but when I get up to a a whole juz I keep on forgetting little bits of the start of the juz. And if I am reviewing a whole juz and trying to learn new ayats it gets a bit too much (and do other studies). I am thinking if I get to 10 - 20 juz then I won't be able to review all of them in a week. How much reviewing does a good hafiz do daily?

Brother i dont have problem memorising lines but how do you go about connecting the lines u memorised? And i am accustomed using 13 lines. Is it alroght to switch to 15cline mushaf?

Thank you so much for your comment, you focus more on connecting your last ayah with the previous one, so no need to worry to connect the lines if the ayahs are connected. Try to make your visualization skills stronger! 15 lines mushaf is better and it is globally standardized Mushaf type. JazakaAllahu khairan

You will get to use if InshaAllah. When you memorize or review close your eyes and try to see the words and lines and ayahs while your eyes are closed and try to remember and recite it that way. Keep pushing it and it is like exercise, the more you do the better you become!!!

Once you memorized the second ayah, do you go back to the first ayah to recite the first and second ayah together from memory? Or do you just move on to the third ayah once you’ve finished memorizing the second ayah?

Wa alaikum Salam, Yes it is hard and now with all these distractions it is harder, but with full concentration and away from TV or phone it is possible. I still have students they memorize 3 pages within an hour!

Lately I try to wake up every day before fajr. 45 min I try to memorize but to be honest I am happy if I can memorize 3-4 lines. I am also non arabic speaker. So maybe that’s the reason. May Allah swt make it easy for me.
