After watching so many clips that teach Spanish on this website, I find your channel easiest to comprehend and follow along. I truly appreciate the immediate repetitions within each exercise - going back in order all the way to the very first verb again. I also enjoyed the slow pronunciation of each word, so that beginners like me could clearly hear each syllable. And finally, I am thankful for the format in how you present the sentences within each exercise; as a student, I can see which parts are compulsory and which ones can be altered so that we can convey different meanings. This is much more helpful than other channels where they flash each clause and rush through each sentence. Watching those, I get the feeling that the creators are merely trying to show off their knowledge, whereas watching your channel helps me retain what I just learned. And as we all know, repetition (practice) makes perfect!

Even i am not a native English speaker i am just following your channel than to other lessons in my own language. On most of the channel i saw the people talk a lot, acting than to teaching and lost into details of grammar. I found this style much more useful. Thank you very much. :) I want to a question about this lesson. lo means it ok. but what if the object is a feminine word? does it convert to la or just stays the same? For example "hay una mesa. quiero tocarlo or tocarla?"

I think le is used when a verb like "gustar" is used. Examples: Me gusta dibujar. (I like to draw) Te gusta dibujar. (You like to draw) Nos gusta dibujar. (We like to draw) Le gusta dibujar. (You [Formal singular] like to draw) / (He/She likes to draw) Les gusta dibujar. (You [Plural] lime to draw) / (They like to draw)

Hi, again: would you be willing to give a simple explanation of the different use of the two preterite types: perfecto-he hablado/comedown/vivido, and indefinite-hable/comi/vivo. I have found a usable definition but I am not sure if I could use it in everyday conversation?
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish 3 жыл бұрын
Apart from a few exceptions they translate pretty well from English. So the perfect is I have eaten and the indefinido hablé etc... is the past simple I did, I ate etc.. One difference is that in Spain they tend to use perfect for amything that's just happened. We would say, What did you say? in Spanish: What have you said - Que has dicho? But generally just translate as I mentioned.

@@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish I have reviewed the explanation in the light of your comments and the two are compatible: it states that if the action (preceding another action) is in the same “time block” [I went to the doctor this morning], use the perfect, whereas if it was in a different time block, use the indefinite (I travelled to Ireland last year/week/month]. I find your explanation more accessible. (Hahaha)

Elsewhere in the structured course, you use “verle” for “to see him”, whereas in this lesson you use “verlo” for “see it” and “see him”. In translations, this also seems variably used. Is this an example of “le”ification of spanish, where “le” is substituted for “lo and la” in speech, or is there another explanation?
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish 3 жыл бұрын
Yes that is right. Strictly speaking to see him should be verlo, but verle is so common that I took advantaged of its versality for communication in the structured course. It's referred to as leísmo and is incredibly common.

I am very much enjoying spanish with your videos on yt. So thank u very much for that. But I have noticed that u don't give as much weight to learning the feminine as the masculine. Like here, I am halfway through and u r saying that lo refers to him and make no mention of whether that refers to her aswell. Please can u give as much priority to the feminine, and treat it as it is, which is of equal importance. Thank u. I have watched lots of ur videos and this is my only gripe!! Thanks again for them they're fab otherwise!

This channel is over-done with advertising now. Its good you have ads on your videos to get value back from making them. But you have way too many. 4 or 5 times stopping this 18 minute video to watch ads is WAY too much A 20 minute video should have one ad at the beginning, and a second ad half way.
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish
@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish 5 жыл бұрын
I had no idea that this was happening. Do you mean, KZbin video ads? If so I'll look at disabling them - the money earned from them is virtually nothing so no loss there.

@@LearnSpanishLearnSpanish Actually I thought that might be the case, that you didn't know. After you read this, reply and Ill delete the top comment if you want also. I think in your Creator Studio you can set how intesense the monetization should be. As Im sure you know, there's a tradeoff between low-monetization-and-more-subscribers and higher-rpm-but-viewers-get-put-off. But yeah, if I watch a 20 minute video seeing one play-ad in the middle is fine and I prefer creators do put ads because obviously they should get money for their effort

Very useful. I'm in Latin America and they don't use te as frequently as they do in Spain. What's the equivalent for usted? Por ejemplo...No estoy buscanodte?

Usted always uses the 3rd person (he/she) equivalent. So, estaba buscándolo.

@ Noel Jensen " I don't believe that the answer given answered your question. In my opinion, it should be No estoy buscandole . The indirect object pronouns are " me.te , le nos (os ) les . The direct object pronouns are "me,te, lo,/ la nos,,os, los las .So instead of " te ", you can use le or les if it is indirect object pronoun or los or las if direct object pronouns Tre reflexive is "se "for both singular or plural. I hope that this explanation is helpful.
