Since moving to the area with less light pollution, I really got into exploring the night sky. Your channel is very helpful. Thank you for your work!

Hi Janine, at 00:08:07 you said 9 Earths would fit across the diameter of Pollux, did you perhaps mean 9 Suns?🤔

Hi there, I just want to thank you for the time you put into making these videos. My children and I have been watching them along with our astronomy curriculum from Memoria Press, and the way you've set up your visuals using other reference points, and multiple images just really cements everything for them. My children are SO thrilled to be able to point out so much of the night sky now (and so am I). Although we're finished with our curriculum now, we plan on continuing to watch as you add new constellations. Thanks again!

Thank you for your message. I'm glad to hear these videos help your family to figure out what you see when you look up. I appreciate your support.

Love your videos as you are always so knowledgeable about them. But I was watching this video on Gemini and you had stated that you could fit 9 Earths into the star Pollux. I believe you meant to say 9 suns. No big deal on this one but I just wanted to say let you know. Hope it was ok that I had mentioned this.

I did mean 9 suns. After 57 takes, I do end of making mistakes! 😱 Thank you for correcting the error!

I remember gemini like this: Castor with a C is next to Capella in Auriga, Pollux with a P is next to Procyon

Janine, do you have any recommendations on how to find constellations when they appear upside down, sideways, etc. from my perspective on Earth? Thank you.

So we can see Gemini in both the northern and southern hemispheres around the same time? Where does it go when it can't be seen?
@learnthesky9 ай бұрын
It is still there, just out during the day so we can’t see it.

Taurus should be interesting to watch this year as mars will make a return in the winter sky after its alternate year appearance/disappearance.

Gemini roughly equals the constellations of Well, North River, South River, etc. in the Chinese astronomy, all about water. Besides, the celestial area Gemini is also considered as the head of the Vermilion Bird of the South, one of the four holy beasts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermilion_Bird
