Alberio . Question is, If the stars are moving how we can say this star is at this palce by just giving co-ordinates. does the co-ordinates move every night

Thanks for thee great content. This is great for a newbie astronomer like me to learn the fundamental language and terms of the sky clearly before diving deep into star-hopping etc.

Yesssss, found it!! The trick is: start watching when it's not entirely dark yet, and only the brithest stars are yet visible. Finding the summer triangel is then a piece of a cake. As soon as it's super dark there are a mindblowing amount of stars visible, which makes it a lot more difficult to find the star or constellation you're looking for.

It's amazing to know these today... and to think that ancient civilizations have learned, discovered and known these thousand years ago!

But constellations aren't really patterns of stars but regions of the sky right?

Thank you for this wonderful explanation. I was driving through Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia last night and when i was passing through the mostly dimly lit area around Leon WV at 230 AM i couldnt help but notice this magnificent star in the east. It was a new moon, too, making it a wonderful experience. I even pulled off at an exit and downloaded a star watcher's app, it was that illuminating (pun intended).

At 1: 40 "It takes 2.5 million years for that light to reach us." At 7:15 "We will eventually collide with that galaxy some 2.5 million years from now." So the Milky Way and Andromeda are headed toward each other at the speed of light???!!!?!?

HELLO ALL: anyone here or the OP know what this means, and I figured that I cannot be the only one with any star constellations on their arm, or other body parts. WELL, on my inner left ark just above my wrist I have the Cepheus constellation on it, ill get to anyone that knows more about this sort of thing happening and it means a pic of it, if they ask, etc. SO DOES anyone know more about this, and i will continue to search for answers, and one more thing, its only after being an adult that I got it, it seems.

A really really interesting vid. Orion and in particular the 'Belt'. As a kid and seeing it's continual striking presence in the night sky got me interested in astronomy and def Orion. Yes, I understand, It has got a reassuring quality about it, and more. To me it is a cosmic crossroad, but what a crossroad. Thanks for sharing this wonderful and informative vid.
