Now that Oxy dropped to $50, I took a deeper look into the business. It has offloaded low-margin assets in favor of high margin assets in the Permian which had decades of reserves. Its per barrel operating costs are $36 which is among the best in the region meaning it can remain profitable even with a substantial drop in oil prices. It is currently the most efficient producer in the Permian. With Oxy securing decades of reserves, Oxy is moving away from expensive exploration and wants to return maximum value to shareholders. This business has very little downside trading at what appears to be a discount. Oddly enough, my fair value was also exactly $86/share. Currently that would be a 60% margin of safety. Hi Jimmy! Did not expected a video on Oxy, fantastic. I bought Oxy in 2020 on all the fuzz of crash and that oil will be over etc, and oxy was a dead company.. I saw the oppurtunity. bought at 13 dollars per share. And i'm thinking on buying more. Thanks

I am still wary of the CrownRocks acquisition. If it was such a good deal, why wasn't it competitive and bid up higher? Generally the seller wants full value, so unless there is some extenuating circumstance, why did CrownRocks sold so cheap? What is the risk in the CrownRocks acreage?

Given that the RU-UA peace talks are likable after Trump gets the office, we can see oil going down in the next 2 years. Also Israel should end the military campaign at some point in a year or so. Buffet can dump it any time and small investors may be busted. I believe the entry point shouldn’t be higher than $53

All the best and good video. In my opinion it is still a good time to invest in different stocks like gold, silver and digital currencies. This is one of the most important skills to learn and everyone should invest instead of saving. Some may agree, some may disagree. Trump has stated that he wanted to drill more oil which would increase the supply of oil driving prices down. Could also mean that OXY takes a large market share of that and can profit off volume but I suppose we'll see. Certainly interesting to see lol.

Currently aggressively paying off debt due to 2 decent acquisitions. Once they pay down debt sufficiently, the plan is to return cash to shareholders in form of buybacks and dividends.

Let's not forget that crude sold at -30 a barrel at some point in 2021 during covid. I am estimating a conservative 70. And the value will be with MORE EXPLORATION from the acquisition, rather than banking on current metrics.
