Awesome tutorial. Replaying the game with a completely new group of folks next sunday. We’ve only played a couple of games of Eldritch Horror together so far so I’m looking forward to introducing them to the game! :) I’ve played a bunch of Brimstone before, collected about half of all the content and monsters etc. Painted about half of the minis. It’s such a fun game! :)

i got my game last night. Super excited about it. Should I get another core box before actually starting the 1st campaign? Will getting the other core enrich the campaign? I dont care about expanding to 6 players tho.

This is still one of my favorite games, I would not worry about getting about core set right away you have a good amount of content in the core set you have. Each core set and expansion adds another world you can go to and each one is good so don't worry about getting them in any order or that one is better than the rest. I'm just starting to play and I loved this video, thank you. One question though, wouldn't the Gunslinger get a defense roll for the wounds he took from the dynamite?

Also, if your Gunslinger is range based, and you planned to chuck dynamite, wouldn't you only move up as far as needed to be a range of 5 away from your target spot? Why rush up close and chuck dynamite? Not a very smart move on the gunslinger's part. His pistol is range 6 and dynamite range 5 so doesn't make sense to get so close right away, especially with a monster(s) that is melee based.

Yes it is, I know he has had a ton of different problems with production and coatings but I did have a chance to talk with the creator at Gen-con this year and he said everything is almost done and that all orders should be shipped by September. So you should be getting yours very soon and they work great, you will be happy with yours when it comes in. Thanks for the comment glad you liked the video.

Can someone please tell me how to properly set up an ambush attack and... Do enemies immediately attack in any encounter if they have a higher initiative

Example- I draw an ambush attack and my gunslinger looked through the door An enemy with higher initiative spawns around him, the us Marshall has 5 I think so he should go ext but the attack gives the enemy higher initiative so do they immediately attack or do all my heroes go first or something And if say the saloon girl was on another map tile would she not have any enemies placed around her?

Let me see how the rules state it again before going in to detail about it but I do know that enemies activate in initiative order so if they are higher than your characters they will activate first even in regular combat. I will get back with you by the end of the week after I can double check the rules again.

on the first turn once you moved the gunslinger, the saloon girl was not adjacent to him anymore. wouldnt you have to roll to avoid the sanity loss from hearing voices? or is that only once youve left the mine entrance tile...?

i misunderstood. each tile the lantern holder is on and every adjacent tile is lit up(mine rooms; map tiles). i mistook that as squares your character might stand on.

Question... The gunslinger shot twice, he missed once. Would he not have then used two of his special bullets?

Hey D-Rock thanks for the question. I went back into the rule book to double check your question and for the first special bullet type the gunslinger starts with those bullets and they can only be used on successful hits and you can choose to wait until after you roll for damage to use them and you can only use one bullet for each successful hit. In that way you can add that extra bit of damage to bring down hard enemies or just do more damage to help your team. let me know if that clears up your question.

Pretty sure the tile with the lantern and adjacent tiles count as being lit up so the gunslinger is fine.

Agreed, I believe it was stated incorrectly at the beginning that the SQUARE the Lantern is on and those squares adjacent are ok, but the rules state the TILE and those adjecent are safe.

if you have assembled minis before than I would say it is not bad. if this is your first time I would recommend a hobby knife, hobby clippers and if you plan on painting them a mold line remover all of which you can get from a game store that has minis. they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Overall this game is not a hard one to assemble I have worked on a lot harder ones than this. you can probably find assembly guides on youtube as well if you get stuck. Have Fun and enjoy the game it is still one of my favorite dungeon crawlers.

I agree. If you just want unpainted minis on the table - they are easy. A few are even one-piece models. If you want to do a simple paint job, also easy. If you want them looking their best, you will want the above tools and some gap-filling putty ("green stuff").

+Skolasiński Łukasz that is one that I own and I have thought about doing a video for it, not sure when as it is going to be a challenging video to make. I really like the game and I think it has great potential. I really try to have the rules down for a game before I do the video because I hate it when people make videos and get the rules wrong so I try to do my best and not have that happen. that being said Mercs is a great company and I like their games but their rules are hard to understand at times, and if you watched Recon that is my longest video to date and I had to film it multiple times to cut the run time to that which was challenging. I do plan on doing a video for Myth, but not sure on time frame. I would suggest posting your request on the main Learn to play page and if I get enough requests for it I will look at doing it sooner or if you have any other requests please let me know. I hear you, this one has a ton of stuff with it which is good and bad as a collector. Honestly start small get one or both core sets and you are good for a long time than start adding some expansions or just a few enemy add-on packs as you get into the game. I would disagree with that. I would say this is quite different to Last Night on Earth and not just the setting this is a dungeon crawler, adventure, role playing game with character development and different pathways to take, and creature development on a smaller scale. It can be played as one off games or chained together in a large role playing experience that spans different worlds with many different threats and monsters to face.
