So clear and understandable! Following along with my own test site. I hadn’t known about the newsletter plugin. I’ll be checking that out tomorrow. Thanks so much, Brad. Looking forward to lesson 3!

I've learned a lot of WP over the years, mostly from your Udemy course (which is excellent) and now your channel. Thanks Brad!

You are one of my favorite teachers (if not the favorite) on Udemy, but I never watched your videos on YT until now, even though I was subscribed for years lol. One thing I would point out is maybe consider making your video frame a bit smaller because it's taking up way too much space.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the 5 year subscription. I completely agree about the size of the camera feed; I was trying out a new camera app and completely forgot to crop / resize it like I normally would.

@@LearnWebCode Wow 5 years! I didn't realize that! I've been your student on Udemy for that long (or longer)!! You know I still go and rewatch your courses from time to time. I wish everybody had your teaching style. :) I feel bad now about not watching anything on YT. LOL I'm going to watch from now on.. Congrats on new camera!

Great to see you active here! This is a very good video. I have a quick question, does the newsletter plugin also work for "Lead magnets"? For example, could I set it up so users sign up and automatically receive a free e-book as a reward? Or do you any other good and budget friendly alternative for that? Also, what is your opinion on "page builders" like Kadence, Greenshift, Spectra, Stackable, etc.? Do you have any experience with them or any recommendations? Looking to start with one, but cant decide.. Will you do any videos about that? Looking forward to more WordPress content from you! :)

Thanks! On the "Subscription" sub-page of the Newsletter plugin, there is a "Welcome email" tab - you could customize the "welcome" email to include a link to the free e-book reward. That's available in the free / base version of the plugin. I personally don't have any experience with any of the page builders, but a company I used to work with would use "Divi" for small / quick sites / clients they needed to spin up where it didn't make sense to hire a design + dev team to create something bespoke.

Great tutorial ! Can I just suggest something for your next videos ? I'd suggest to reduce your PiP thumbnail in the video recording. I like to see more of the screen, but your thumbanil is almost 25% of the screen Thanks Brad !
@LearnWebCodeАй бұрын
Thank you! Your suggestion is spot on; I was experimenting with a new camera feed app in these last 2 videos and I completely overlooked the sizing & cropping of it. I'm going to reduce the size a bit but also crop it much more aggressively in the next video.

@@LearnWebCode I am glad mine was a nice suggestion. I am sure you will do better and better 👍🏻👍🏻

As i watch these videos, I'm thinking if wp can help me solve one of my biggest problems. I want to be able to use wp as a source of truth for react/next js pages and posts. That way, clients can edit their apps fully, and i don't have to write so much code for admin dashboards maybe by consuming from a rest api. Brad, is this possible as of today?
@LearnWebCode2 күн бұрын
Yes, that's possible, the term is "headless" WordPress; we can use the built-in REST API of WP and consume it from within Next.js. I actually want to create a full length course about this exact topic at some point in the future. WordPress is the best end-user editor experience, and Next.js is the best dev experience so I think it makes a lot of sense.

I have to say that I miss your contents like a "build from scratch".
@LearnWebCode17 күн бұрын
I appreciate that, the "from scratch" is the content that I enjoy creating the most and will be getting back to that shortly. I wanted to provide an "entry way" for people new to coding to find and get into some of the more advanced series on the channel.
@consumeboxing6 күн бұрын
I agree! I would definitely tap into that type of content in relation to WordPress.
