Rock - basaltic - metal content is more ..cools on earth surface have less crystals size is less than 0.05m i.e clayy or black soil that means water holding capacity is more and also develops crack when dried Granite - beneath the earth surface ,less metal content .. take time to form that's why have large crystals or coarse crystals , water holding capacity is very less and size is more than 0.5mm and also less fertile and red in color
