what is the authority page and the target page please? please give me an example thank you.
@learnwithshopify Жыл бұрын
Hey Zizi! An authority page is a web page that Google and other search engines recognize as having high-quality content on a specific topic or subject. An authority page provides comprehensive, detailed, and useful information on a particular topic, and it is often used as a reference by other blogs or websites in the same niche. On the other hand, a target page is a web page created to attract visitors and convert them into customers or subscribers. It is a page that is optimized to rank highly on search engines for specific long-tail keywords or key phrases. The content on a target page is designed to appeal to a specific audience and to encourage them to take a particular action, such as making a purchase, filling out a form, or subscribing to a newsletter. In summary, an authority page is a high-quality, informative page that provides valuable information, while a target page is a page that is optimized for a specific purpose, usually to convert visitors into leads or customers. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much this was very helpful. Do you need to have the e-commerce store ready in order to have the blogging feature live?
@learnwithshopify2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Adelaide. Great question! When you first sign up and create your Shopify store, it comes with a built-in blogging feature. Your site will need to be live in order for users to see your blog posts as it can help drive traffic to your store. We have more information on adding/creating your first blog post here: bit.ly/3F04yBG.

Thank you very much for the wonderful content and the beautiful explanation... I have a question - I started setting up a pet supplies store and I am thinking of creating a blog within the site to attract visitors and improve traffic. What can I provide within the blog and how to reformulate the same topics that are frequently asked about pets on the Internet ؟؟؟؟؟

where do you add meta data for blogs with keywords to increase google ranking ?
@learnwithshopify Жыл бұрын
Hello there! Thank you for reaching out to us. To add metadata to your blogs, you can follow these steps: 1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Blog Posts. 2. Click on the blog post you want to edit. 3. Scroll down to the Search engine listing preview section and click on Edit website SEO. 4. In the Page title field, enter a descriptive title for your blog post. This title is shown as a link in search engine results. You can enter up to 70 characters in the title. 5. Enter a description for the search engine listing. Make sure to include relevant keywords to help new customers find your link, and to include your store name. Use natural, readable phrases, rather than lists of keywords. You can enter up to 320 characters in the description. 6. Click Save. Also, don't forget to set a title and description for your online store by going to Online Store > Preferences and following SEO best practices: bit.ly/43lxo8G. -Rio

Is there a way to display google ads only on blog pages if I own an eccomerce website?
@learnwithshopify2 жыл бұрын
HI, there. While Shopify certainly integrates with Google Ads and Google Shopping, it will not display ads for your own products on your website. If you're looking to enable this functionality, you can certainly work with a developer to integrate it into your site.
@jonavancrail2 жыл бұрын
@@learnwithshopify I am not looking to display ads of my own products, I can integrate them into my blog through links myself. What I am asking is if I am able to just run other peoples google ads on specifically selected blog pages to create another form of monetization on my site.
@learnwithshopify2 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes that is fair. In this case you will still need to work with a developer to custom display certain ads on parts of your website. I recommend taking a look at our Expert listing to find the right fit for your needs here: bit.ly/3TSzojS.

@learnwithshopify2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, were you wanting to sell the same product across all 3 stores or post the same blogs?
@priyadarshan73252 жыл бұрын
I am selling fashion, fitness, tech related product but for marketing I can’t write too many blogs per day by myself, I don’t have a team,
@learnwithshopify2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! That's a great range of products. There are certainly no rules about posting the same content across 3 different websites, you may just want to ensure you are posting content that can adapt to all of your stores. You can read more about this right here: (bit.ly/3AFcTbG).
