I'm adding this comment here because its your most recent post in hopes you'll see it. I just wanted to say that I'm a first time dog owner and when I got my dog ten months ago I immediately started looking for training advice online because I don't have a balanced trainer anywhere near me and I've watched them all. You have been the biggest help and I love the way you describe things. Just wanted to say "thanks".

Awesome information. I’m currently working with my reactive Cane Corso pup 11 months old. Not exactly the same scenario but I still love watching and learning about the different examples of what can happen and how to handle it.

My brother has a struggling reactive dog, and didn't know what to do. I watched this and tried your method on Ruby on a brief walk, gave him the option to listen and rewarded for engagement. Worked great, thank you. Will have to build up to walking right by people.

I need you in my life!!! Adopted a "misunderstood" 9 mo GSD,(raised in a shelter) and she is very leash and car aggressive. When loose, she is the biggest cuddle bug to everyone, but when the leash clicks or the car door shuts........... No one can come within 20 feet of us. Have had her 4 months now and those are the only 2 bad habits left. Otherwise she is my best friend. I do not crate her or cage her. She spends 24 hours at my side. Very smart young girl, just not overly fond of other people which I would like to change.

Robert can you discuss how to train a puppy to be situationally aware of danger? Our 11 month old doodle has no understanding. The other night I was walking her and up came 3 loud intoxicated guys. My body language was tense and I shortened her leash right away. But she kept sniffing away happy until they were on top of us and did her usual excited puppy "pet me" routine. I also spoke to them in a low aggressive tone "dont touch her!" and led her away quickly. How do I get her to understand my body language? Or a "leave it" command to communicate to her this is a bad situation and we need to do the "flight" response?

So to get this right, always a loose leash unless you’re correcting?

Whats the best way to handle other dogs that are off leash and their owners, as they yell "my dogs friendly" and they arent even close enough to hear my response to that and their dog is now in my dogs face??? Also it seems when i try to do a friendly greeting with the dogs their dogs get right in my dogs face or butt and my dog does not like pushy rude dogs. If the dog is calm she's fine but if they are hyper her fur goes all up and she starts snapping at them, and usually she's the bigger dog which if anything happens IM the bad guy. But at the same time I want her to be able to meet other dogs. ( she has made some nice friends in the park and we still have good interactions with them. so much so we can usually drop the leashes and let them run around for a bit) * i know one thing you might suggest is walking away. Ive done this and the unleashed dog just follows us. Ive also had to resort to using treats to get my dogs ball back as one dog literally ripped it out of her mouth, but ppl dont like when i do this, yet the owner was so far away i cant even tell you what she looks like.

Would have been better if there was hand sanitization after the handshake. Every person in media has a responsibility to advocate safe contact imo. Doctors and nurses are getting burnt out at the hospitals due to the work load.

@steely1neverwane
@steely1neverwane 4 жыл бұрын
@@zariacaprio1491 Yes people have died, but it's not from the Convid. The CDC, the WHO and numerous federal officials from multiple nations have admitted that the numbers are inflated and at best 6% of the deaths that they attribute to Convid are legitimate. Geez, people who died in car accidents and from a heart attacks and every other cause are being counted as Convid deaths,,, it's a scam. The media tells us that the hospitals are overflowing and medical staff can't cope, when in reality the hospitals are almost empty and medical staff are being put off or twiddling their thumbs.
