I’ll look over the contract and let you know as soon as I can . Last I heard, the early termination fee was around $5k but I do remember hearing that the transfer fee was somewhere around $500 if I’m not mistaken

Hey Great information I plan to go to sfi in Dallas Tx. what credit do you need for sfi or do you get to own truck after lease is up

They aren’t too particular about a certain score but I imagine at least a 550. There’s a balloon payment after the lease ends. Mines is about $40k. Sometimes they’re more or less, just depends on the truck. Or you can extend the lease for an extra year

Well my truck was at the same terminal I did orientation at so I didn’t need bobtail insurance upfront. But if you’re driving your own truck there then yes you need some temp bobtail insurance

Well if you’re going to Schneider and getting a SFI truck, you won’t need to get outside BT insurance. The truck will be parked wherever you do orientation at. The deposit varies depending on make, model, mileage and who you plan to drive for. For example, I paid $2000 deposit for my 2022 Freightliner. Had 171,000 miles on it. But if I had took that same truck to JB Hunt, it would’ve been $2500 and for Landstar $3500z

Mine is $1040 a week plus $135 for maintenance fund so $1176 every week I’m two years in one to go. It seems like a lot but if you buy at a dealership and finance it’s the same really. 2022 with 42 miles on it I took the SFI stickers off the truck because I wasn’t advertising for anyone to get into it. My advice team drive or train for a few years and save your money. If you get a used truck and have issues it’s going to be extremely stressful in this environment. Good luck my friend. Talk to a lease operator first that doesn’t just want a referral.
